Food: They give you a generous portion of salsa and me and my husband each had our own bowls which I love! We never got a refill on our chips, but to be fair we also didn’t ask. Not sure if this restaurant offers unlimited free chips and salsa or not. The salsa is a nice quality restaurant salsa, not too chunky and not overloaded with cilantro (which I prefer). We each got arroz con pollo and for me this is the best in town. The queso is amazing. The portion size was just right—we each brought home leftovers. A little bit pricier than other places, so I was hesitant, but it’s worth it. Atmosphere: The music was a tad too loud. It was busy and lots of voices were echoing and so the voices combined with loud music was a little much. I did feel like we were stuck into an awkward booth near the back corner. It was a tight fit with the table beside ours. Our table was noticeably wobbly. For how new this restaurant is it was disappointing to have a wobbly table. Service: Our server was very kind and attentive. He was on top of bringing us refills! I only wish we would have had a chips and salsa refill (again maybe on us for not asking). Cleanliness: I’m not sure if it was because of the dinner crowd, but the bathrooms were pretty dirty. The toilets themselves were clean but the floors were dirty and had toilet paper all around. Overall I think most of our complaints is just due to us coming in on a Saturday at 7pm. We will definitely be back!

A Flavorful Fiesta at Jefferson Pointe! Rivera Maya Mexican Grill, nestled in Jefferson Pointe, offers a vibrant taste of Mexican cuisine that's sure to satisfy even the heartiest appetite. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, and I'm already planning my return. I opted for the Chile Relleno Burrito, a behemoth of a meal that lived up to its promise. Stuffed generously with tender steak, fluffy rice, savory beans, and a perfectly cooked chile relleno, it was a delightful explosion of flavors and textures. The portion was so substantial that I happily took half home, providing a delicious second meal. My husband's Burrito Monterey was equally impressive. For those who struggle to choose a protein, this burrito is a dream come true. It boasted a mouthwatering combination of steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo, all nestled alongside rice and beans. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the variety of meats ensured a truly satisfying experience. Beyond the exceptional food, the service was fast and friendly. Our server was attentive and efficient, ensuring we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for authentic and generously portioned New Mexican fare in Fort Wayne, Rivera Maya Mexican Grill is a must-try. With its flavorful dishes and excellent service, it's a definite winner.

Had a chance to visit Rivera Maya in Jefferson Pointe this week and had a good experience. The colorful chips and generous amounts of salad before the meal was a nice surprise. The margarita was tasty and worth getting a couple of. I had the the quesa barria tacos and they were were amazing. The cup of beef birria broth to dip them into made the dish. I think I noticed that one of the bowls that they have on the menu also is served with a cup of the birria broth and that would definitely be one worth getting as well. This was by far the best dish that we ordered. The tacos al pastor were good but not as good as the quesa barria tacos. We were not impressed with the Pollo Loco. The two chicken breasts were smashed down flat and somehow still difficult to cut and chew. We got a small bowl of the street corn queso and I barely got a taste. It's a hit and the family loved it. The quesadilla seemed packed with meat but didn't have a lot of cheese. Overall we had a good time, the pricing is reasonable and I will definitely be back for more queso and a margarita!

We have been here 3 times now. 1st time the waiter spoke almost no English and was in such a hurry that he walked away before one of us finished ordering. The result was he brought a regular margarita when they wanted a frozen raspberry margarita. 2nd visit our table of 8 sat for almost 30 minutes before anyone came over for drink orders. The food did come out fast but that was the last time we saw our waitress. Nobody got their drinks refilled. 3rd and last time. We sat. Got our chips. 15 minutes later the waiter took our drink order. Another 15 minutes later our drinks finally arrived. No straws though. Waiter brought the wrong drink to one of us. One of our food orders were wrong. Salsa was never refilled. Drinks sat empty for a long time. Just give up. You don't know how to manage a restaurant and its painfully obvious. The wait staff is the worst I have ever seen. The kitchen staff must be equally incompetent because if you want anything different or left off your order, the waiter acts like its the first time anyone has asked for something made to order and when the food comes out its wrong. If you are lucky enough to get a refill, be prepared to wait 15 minutes before your glass is brought back to the table and it might be the wrong drink. One last parting shot. What self respecting Mexican restaurant serves their carne asada tacos without a corn tortilla option at least? Plenty of much better (and cheaper) Mexican options within 5 minutes...
