Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Sadly, the worst part of visit was the chicken. It was fine, far less greasy than somewhere like KFC, but it wasn't very flavorful. On top of that, we ordered a 10 piece meal of 3 legs, 3 thighs, 2 wings and 2 beasts and received 2 legs, 1 thigh, 3 wings and 3 breasts. That's probably more food overall so that's fine, right? Well, no, my wife is the only one who likes fried chicken breast and she probably won't eat them all, so it's a disappointment and a waste.

I'm still giving them 3 stars because frankly the sides were very good and the staff was polite and helpful at least. The macaroni and cheese is by far the best I've gotten from a restaurant, the Cajun fries were solid, could use a bit more flavor but were well prepared, and the lemonade (we got a mango and a strawberry) was very tasty, not nearly as syrupy as other restaurants. But the problems with their chicken and order accuracy really hold...

So I ordered ghost pepper wings. These are absolutely plain, maybe they're spicy, there's zero flavor, almost zero heat. Then here's the two pieces dark meat I ordered. Both white meat. The fries were old and cold. Garbage. Absolute garbage. The restaurant wasn't busy, I'm the only person in here and there's paper trash all over the floor. I see a napkin, a straw and another part of a straw. Sorry, two napkins. Unbelievable. The manager is right behind the counter walking back and forth undoubtedly seeing the debris.

Edit: I got diarrhea within an hour of eating there. Update: slept terrible. Still have diarrhea the...

Drive thru trip got three kinds of chicken strips. The blacken (non breaded) was delicious! The crispy and spicy crispy were great hot but not so good reheated later. (The blacken strips didn't last till later to try reheated) I also tried the mashed potatoes and gravy, it's good; not as thick as KFC or Lee's gravy but has a great flavor with bits of meat and spices. My favorite way to have fried chicken is dipped in the gravy/potatoes and this was definitely a come back again but best when fresh. ( the competitor i like to get extra for left overs, but I dont recommend this...
