Just went in for dinner, asked for a booth. Young girl at front seating people said there were none because they all needed to be cleaned, we said we would wait. We waited and watched, we saw the 2 booths get cleaned and wiped. Meanwhile, the girl walked around, talking with other employees. Another employee asked her if she was going to seat us, she said something but I was unable to hear her response, but it must have been funny since they both laughed loudly. Then she walked around some more, went and got another employee and the manager who my husband spoke with while the girl seated me, when I sat down, she said "I don't appreciate you recording and I replied I didn't appreciate her not doing her job as she walked away. I decided I was not staying, we did nothing to be treated this way except ask for a booth which meant they had to clean one. There were probably 5 dirty booths. The manager demanded that I delete my video and had his arm across me, told him no and asked if he was stopping me from leaving. He said it's a private business and we can't record in there. He finally moved his arm so i could get theough and we left. People take photos and videos in restaurants all the time. I guess they assume that if you're holding you're phone and looking at it in their direction, you must be recording them, you can't just be looking at things on your phone. In all my 52 years, I have never been treated like this at a restaurant. This young gurl was rude, lazy and had no customer service skills. Never talk about customers where they can hear, especially if they can see you and hear you. Some people need to learn how to speak to others respectfully and they will receive the same in return. Unfortunately, we will probably never return to this location to eat, which is too bad, we have been to this location multiple times and always had great service, even have a favorite waitress (who was there tonight and saw this happening). Too bad 1 little girl can ruin the atmosphere. Would give zero...
Read moreVery disappointed! Felt like a victim of "bait and switch". Showed up not long after store opening wanting the advertised 25th Anniversary Baby Back Rib special. Greeted and seated efficiently. Was told by the server that they didn't have the rib special because the previous night staff didn't do their job and cook any of them. Oh, note that I did call the store a couple days prior to confirm that the special was still available.
The server said that they had other baby back ribs, but not the ones for the special. The ribs that he wanted to sell me were $32 instead of the advertised $14.99 for the special. I thought those other ribs were St. Louis style, but the server told me that they were Baby Back. Maybe that is right. I don't know.
The bottom line is that the store seemed to have no intention of honoring the advertised special but was only using it to trick people into their store in order to up-sale them some other product. I overhead the same thing from the couple seated next to use. This is a horrible way to operate. Do not advertise specials not intended to be honored. Set reasonable prices and be honest if not able to afford to sell for the special prices.
I have always really liked Smokey Bones food. I was so looking forward to those Baby Back ribs for my birthday lunch, as was the rest of my group. I was so disappointed, but more than that, felt like a swindle victim, I refused to stay and order anything else. We went elsewhere. I know mistakes and things happen, but this so felt like...
Read moreWorst service we’ve gotten in awhile. When we walked in, we asked if there were seats at the bar and the host said “I don’t know I mean you can go check I guess.” We had noticed the people ahead of us were treated like an inconvenience. We sat at the bar and were ignored for 20+ minutes. Then took another 30 minutes to get our food. I asked for all flats and was brought flats and drums but charged the extra $2 up charge. We asked for our check and a box and yet we waited another 10 minutes after we got the check and finally gave up. My husband had no patience left and walked around to the other side of the bar after yelling that he wanted the box and got ignored. The bartender was too busy waiting on only one side of the bar when our side had 5 people who got ignored the entire time. We were there for 2 hours and barely got spoken to. Needless to say in the beginning we understood because they were extremely busy but within 40 minutes they were all caught up. I never got a refill and we were there for sooo long. The men’s room was out of paper towels so my husband asked for some and the gentleman was too busy on his phone and rolled his eyes at my husband. We also noticed the staff fighting and arguing with the kitchen staff and also witnessed other staff members flirting while there were customers still waiting to get service that were paying for. Needless to say, the little tip the bartender got won’t help her much. I really hate giving bad reviews but this one had...
