First Watch! Had a chance to visit here again for a second time and again was not disappointed. The food is fantastic and they're putting some interesting flavor. This time I got one of the specials which was a breakfast sandwich. I got it with the greens but I probably would choose fruit next time. The million dollar potatoes are definitely worth it no matter what you're getting.
What a great addition to the breakfast scene in Fort Wayne. This place is definitely worth checking out but right now it's new and so it is super busy. We ended up taking a seat at the bar where they served a full menu so we didn't have to wait. The service was excellent. They give you a small carafe of coffee or hot water if you're having tea. That helps them not to have servers running around refilling coffee all the time. But let's get to the food.
I had one of the power breakfast quinoa bowl and it was fantastic the lemon white balsamic dressing really set this dish apart.. The over easy eggs on top were cooked to perfection and the flavor combination of the bowl was excellent. My friend got the biscuits and gravy and upgraded the potatoes to the million dollar potatoes. Oh my goodness the bacon, parmesan cream sauce in the herbs they put on this or incredible. I would recommend upgrading to the million dollar potatoes with any dish that you get.
At the end of the day there's so much stuff on this menu that looks amazing that I'm going to have to try to find a time to get back to this place and try...
Read moreWriting the review as we have waited around an hour for food. This place is misleading with reviews. The moment we walked in there was no greeting only a blank stare. The wait was 30 minutes for a table for 2 which is fine we decided to sit at the bar. Waited maybe around 10 minutes to be greeted. I ordered an iced coffee while my girlfriend got a regular. My coffee took almost another 10 minutes to get. The food process took the longest. With my girlfriends food coming out incorrectly. The kitchen seems to be the main issue with the restaurant. I watched as the women across from us were brought out plate after plate because of mistakes from the kitchen. After the whole debacle the food was to be honest subpar. I would come here again but not if I had to wait for over an hour for the food order to be correct. Truly not worth the time. Hope they can turn things around because the place is nice and the coffee was the best part of my meal.
Editing after we left. While my girlfriend was eating she has two small broken off pieces of bacon on her plate and some jelly was hidden under the holder for her breakfast tacos. It made her and myself feel as though they used a dirty plate. We will not be back after this...
Read moreI was SO excited to get a first watch in Fort Wayne… but we left disappointed and upset.
We visited on a Tuesday to avoid the busy weekend crowd. After being sat, it took 17 minutes for anyone to help us, then after ordering, over 45 minutes for us to get some of our food (avocado toast and two eggs). Half of my food was never delivered after they said “still waiting on that bacon,” my partner’s ($3.99!) soda was never refilled, then the bill was delivered with my unserved portion still on the bill. We asked for that to be taken off and were given “coupons” that were actually just QR codes to download the app.
No acknowledgement of our wait, poor service, or missing food. I’d give it another chance because I know how good a First Watch can be… but my partner said he’d never return.
Our actual server only interacted with us twice in over an hour and a half, while runners brought our drinks, food, then bill. The hostess did ask one time if we had been helped yet.
For what it’s worth, this location also doesn’t offer any alcoholic beverages...
