We went today after our sons graduation. This is the place he picked! We got there and literally only 3 tables are sat in the entire place.. we waited to be sat for at least 15min while all employees ignored us finally being sat. We then waited another 20 for a server to even come to our table we where the only people in the place that didn’t have food! This was about 10:50am she came over to our table and got our drinks forgot the straws went make took her 5 mins to get them. We waited over an hour and 15mins for our food. Then when we got the food not only was one thing that we specifically asked for was wrong and she repeated the order back and said I’m sorry my hearing is bad today was WRONG!! And then said to us while handing out this god aweful food “oh I didn’t hear that” What? Our food was cold and looked like it had been made then sat there for 45mins. The 3 tables that came in after us also got up and walked out behind us.. this place is a joke. We just left no point of trying to eat cold and horrible looking food!! I work in the food industry I personally would never have served someone the food she brought us and would have at least talked to the table or tables just waiting with menus, but I’m not the manager. I was nice enough to tell what I thought was the manager that it was cold and we where leaving I wasn’t about to pay for anything. They made the older couple pay for the drinks at the table they where At yeAh I don’t think so. Stay away from Steak ‘n Shake on cold water they absolutely suck and where not even busy!! Read moreIt was a horrible experience and they did not seem to care. Pulled up to the drive-thru and they said they weren't taking order through the drive-thru, online only, I was like, that's weird. Fine, so I went online, ordered a combo with a shake and another shake. Waited until the time that the system online told me to come around to pick up the food. Pulled up to the drive-thru again and they told me that they couldn't find my order and I was like what the heck. She asked me what I ordered so she could just make them for me and then she said that they didn't have Oreo and Reeses' shakes right now. I told her fine, just give me M&M and then kitkat. She told me to pull up to the window to show on my phone that I already paid for the food. I pulled up to the second window then she came out and told me that they stopped doing shakes since 11:30 PM. I was like why didn't you say this at the first window or when I pulled up to the drive-thru the first time that hey we just have burgers and fries, nothing else. Nothing was communicated properly and no one seemed to care. I was like could I get a refund, and she said I would have to call the customer service number. So we left without the food and already got charged and did not receive the food. I called customer service and guess what, they don't have anyone to answer. They stopped manning the customer service line. Then I emailed them on their website and trying to get my money back and until this day, still nothing. Took my money and did not give me my food and no proper channel to complain or to get my money back. Truly the worst and I literally can't believe they are doing business like this. When we arrived last night at the Coldwater location, we were third in line and after the two couples before us were seated, they apparently forgot what their job was. After 20 minutes with a baby who was getting tired of being held, I asked the cashier if we could seat ourselves at one of the three empty tables that had been empty the whole time we were there. She said we must wait, she wouldnt qant the tables to not have been wiped off. I explained we had watched it be cleaned off and she asked for our patience, because if we sat ourselves how would the waiters know we were there? (Seriously?!) After another 10 minutes of convincing my husband not to walk out we were seated and our order was taken by the most apathetic waiter I've ever seen. Fast forward another 35 minutes, we asked a different waitress if those were our shakes sitting at the window for 15 minutes. We got our shakes and finished them before asking another waitress why 4 tables who came in after us had their food before us. The waiter brought our food then and we asked for silverware to which he replied, yeah, silverware.... thats tricky, weve had alot of knives come up missing. We all sat there with our mouths hanging open. He wasnt kidding, he wasnt bringing any! My husband walked up to the front and got silverware. Cue the manager. He asked the problem, we told him all of it. He offered to take our shakes off our bill. My husband handed him his full plate and said take this with you. He took off our shakes and his dinner but never even apologized...
