Ziffle's Rib Bar — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I visited this rib bar not too long ago with the ex-girlfriend of mine. We were on a date and I decided to take her somewhere now. I had always heard really good things about this place, so why not try it. Upon arrival we had a decent Wait. After sitting for about an hour and watching people be seated the had arrived after us. I went up to the host stand, and asked how much longer to wait was going to be. I was told that I was actually not on the list, or my name had not been written down. After about another 10 minutes We were finally seated. We ordered our food with a waitress that was not friendly whatsoever. We then got our food About 30 minutes later. However, both of our orders were completely wrong. I told our waitress that because we've had such a bad experience so we would just like to leave , but she told me that this could not happen. I then asked to speak to the manager, and then I was told that she actually owned the restaurant. This girl looked like she had just graduated high school, she couldn't have been much older than twenty. She told me that I had to pay for my food that was wrong, and I had to because she owned the place. Needless to say we paid for our food that was wrong, and left. I will never go back, or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Anytime I hear somebody say they are going here, I'll be sure to tell them about my experience, and make sure they do not visit this establishment. The wife and I stopped to eat your ribs as usual and it was 3:50 in the afternoon on 4/22/15. We both had your ribs that took about 15 minutes to get serve and that was okay since I had a beer and my wife had a soda. We got our ribs and started to eat the first rib when the waitress came over and asked if everything was okay and I told her that my first rib was a little tough. After I got to the second rib I couldn't eat any more since they were burnt to a crisp and under the sauce, the ribs were black and well over cooked. I asked for a rain check or a credit and was told they did not give any credit and would only replace what was ordered. Since I had an appointment I discussed my disappointment with the ribs with your cook that was serve to me and my wife. I left Ziffle's and will not return. For the many years I ate lunch and dinner at Ziffle's I never plan to go back. I believe your cook knew that the ribs were over cook. My bill came to $23.76 and I paid when I left. This was our first time there and for once the rumors were true. This is truly a hidden gem in Fort Wayne. My husband and I went for a date night but next time we will probably take the kids because they have family dining separate from the bar. It really felt like a BBQ dive when we walked in the place. We had decided to try as much as we could our first trip so we started with a cheese-fries appetizer. We probably should ha e gotten the half plate since it was just the 2 of us because this plate could have easily fed 4 to 6 people. It has the option of adding bacon or pulled pork. We went for bacon and was not disappointed! Next, I tried the "pig out platter" so that we could try a little of everything. Again, we could have just split that, it was so big, but my husband wanted to try their sausage roll (a Midwest favorite) and he absolutely loved it. We shared everything and ended up taking quite a bit home with us for lunch the next day. The sausage roll does come in a half size but he wanted the leftovers for lunch.
