We stopped by BB.q Chicken on Super Bowl Sunday so my husband could get some Chicken Wings before the game. Located in TCU, this area is busy with college students and surrounded by eateries, tea shops and fun restaurants. The parking is an issue during busy hours, so plan to park on the street and make a few runs back and forth waiting on a spot to be available. Our order: My husband ordered the Gangnam Style Wings - spicy served with Jalapeños, fries and radish cubes marinated in a vinegar and sugar marinade that tasted strangely like apples. I ordered the Fried Cheese Sticks which arrived stuffed in a brown paper bag that, in the 3 minutes it took to drain the grease and get them to our table, we’re mushy and no longer crispy. Unfortunately, taking hot fried items and closing them up in a bag with nowhere for the steam to escape changes the texture and the way we process a classic like Fried Cheese Sticks. If ordering, ask them to serve them on a plate instead and prepare for a sauce that is not the typical classic Marinara but a sweet Korean version that had me scratching my head in bewilderment. The only home run was the Joy Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwich cooler where I enjoyed my favorite dessert - the Cereal Milk Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwich which has my highest recommendations! Cons: While my husband enjoyed his wings, he wanted to try other flavors, but it wasn’t cost effective due to the way the menu is designed. The parking was lack luster and street level, so prepare to park your baby on a public street lined with college students. We enjoyed certain aspects of our meal, but we will not be back for more. Highly disappointed, and I didn’t even get to try it. The hours online say they close at 12am, and the “Direct Order” on Google let me order as well. I placed my order at 11:35pm, and said my order would be ready at 11:50pm. I live 20 minutes away, I ordered got ready and got there at 11:56pm, and an employee asked if I had an order for Rick, I said yeah, then he proceeded to tell me that their “kitchen closes at 11:30pm, that usually the online ordering doesn’t allow it to go through but for some reason it went through this time”, and I asked if he could cancel my order then and he said it would be through where I ordered it through, and I tried doing that but it literally states on the “Direct Order” for Google that in order to cancel I have to call the restaurant which I tried various times after leaving there but no answer. It’s ridiculous that I had to go drive out of my way 20+ minutes only to be told that your kitchen closes at 11:30 and not 12 like stated online and then be misinformed by your closing employees on how to cancel my order and get my refund.

WRONGFULLY TOWED- I usually have a great experience at this location, BUT on march 29th around 9pm i was WRONGFULLY TOWED. When we arrived at the location LIKE ALWAYS, we come in and check in our vehicle to the parking garage EVEN BEFORE ORDERING! However my girlfriend and i were here for no less than 10 minutes and i go back to check on the vehicle and it’s gone. Mind you, there’s no way to check in the vehicle unless we enter the restaurant and get the QR code to do so, why would we check in the car before getting off if we’ve never had problems before. Nobody ever directed us to do this as we should have time to check the vehicle in. All in all, i’ve gave yall so much business from our end and we came here for an awesome experience like always but instead we were TOWED and charged $330 on top of whatever we paid for the food. This really discourages my return but a reimbursement would be appreciated for the inconvenience, please help.

We've been coming here for months, and the food is amazing, but tonight, the service was probably the worst I've ever experienced anywhere. Visited tonight for date night, we ordered with our server, or so we thought, food and drinks started to come out, but our main order of wings were nowhere to be found after about 40 minutes we called the server over, when he arrived at the table he was ready to give us our check when I told him we never got our wings, he apologized and said he never put them in and that he would put them in immediately, so we waited as we were watching the baseball game on, after about another 30 minutes the Mrs. Went up to the counter and asked another server if the wings were ready he responded that they weren't, so when she came back to our table and told me this, I told her, "Let's go" we'll grab something to eat elsewhere, she insisted that we wait as she really does love the food here so we waited a few more minutes when our server told us that they're ready so we told him to pack it to go, we paid for our meal and drove home, when we got home and opened the bag we noticed that the order wasn't complete and we were still missing food. It was very disappointing to see at a place we have visited multiple times and have had great service by one of the young ladies that we typically see...

I arrived at the restaurant at 7:55, and as of 8:20, I still hadn’t received a beverage, while a party that arrived five minutes after me was already served water. After waiting another 20 minutes, I had to ask someone else for water. To make matters worse, the person who greeted me seemed very shy and nervous (maybe it was his first day on the job) but he tried to take my order, which made me uncomfortable. I could barely hear him speak, which made the interaction feel awkward and added to the overall negative experience.

However, after the long wait and awkward ordering process, the food did come out really good. It was clear the kitchen puts effort into their dishes, and the quality of the meal was a redeeming factor.

As a party of one, I would expect faster attention, especially in a dining establishment that’s not overcrowded. The delay in receiving even basic service has been frustrating, and it’s disappointing to feel overlooked. Service can make or break a meal, and unfortunately, this experience has made it difficult to fully enjoy my time here. I hope these issues are addressed, as it detracts from what could otherwise be a...
