Fat Shack — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Sup guys, David here. Just wanted to give an honest review about the place here. Been eating here for about 4+ years, so far, I really like the food. It's not Gordon Ramsay's fancy food but it's simple, and I like the junk style of it. The fries are amazing, very chunky, the ranch dipping sauce is pretty good too, and I don't even like ranch like that. I always get the Fat Cow and the customer service is usually friendly to me 99% of the time. I only had 1 issue here about 2 years ago and it was only because it was a busy Saturday night, and my order was wrong but it was no big deal to me. They were very cool about it, and I understand the work here. I am a little down they took away the large sandwiches, because I always order a large Fat Cow when I come but it's ok, I get that not everyone can eat as much as me, so I will settle with a regular size. Price wise, it can get a little pricey, but if you can manage, you can pay about $10$15 per person. I tend to spend about $20$29 per meal because I always tip. Other than that, I don't have anything bad to say about this place. Maybe the parking? It can be a pain to find parking, there is a free parking garage nearby if you don't mind walking. Besides that, there's a few parking spots on the side that you do have to pay. Thanks as always for the great food guys....

Self-advocacy is crucial, and my experience at Fat Stack has solidified my decision to avoid this establishment in the future. On Saturday, June 21, 2025, at approximately 6:15 PM, I visited their location at 2858 W Berry St in Fort Worth, TX.

Upon receiving my meal, I was disappointed to find it was served cold and drenched in an excessive amount of sauce. To prevent this issue, I had requested that the sauce be served on the side. However, the staff's response to my simple request was dismissive, which was quite frustrating.

Having just come from a long day of classes, I was not in the mood for a debate with him, but I felt compelled to address the situation. After a frustrating phone call in which my request for a refund was met with refusal, I decided to share my experience through a review.

When I tried to explain my circumstances, the staff member not only interrupted me but also raised his voice—an alarming display of unprofessionalism. I was merely seeking a refund because I had not consumed any of the food due to its unappetizing condition. Rather than resolving the issue, he obstinately declared, “You are not getting a refund!”

This raises an important question: How many other students have experienced similar treatment in this establishment?

This was our first time going. My 21 year old son wanted to go for his birthday. This burger was OK at best, nothing even worth mentioning. I only ate half yet I vomited it all up when I got home. The fries were bland and we also got cheese fries and they had some generic velveeta gpc on top they were disgusting. I ordered one large and one small chocolate shake those weren’t even made till after everyone ate. There were six of us, five adults and one child. The customer service was awful they didn’t even tell me the shakes were going to take that long. I spent $85 then a tip so $95 and honestly i felt like it was such a waste of money. I wasn’t impressed I would never go back here again. I didn’t address the issues with the people who worked there, we were the only people in the restaurant. Two thumbs down fo sho!!!!

The only cool thing there was the long bean bags and I laid on one thinking am I gonna get lice or bedbugs?! I’m just paranoid like that

Honestly I don’t know how this restaurant is getting all these 5 star reviews I know some restaurants, companies and vets office pay for reviews so maybe that’s why!, I did not get paid for the review the food was gross, I am a real person!!! Save your $ go...
