Great American Cookies — Local services in Fort Worth

I put in an online order for a cookie cake for my husband's birthday Monday evening and received an e-mail confirming receipt of the order and confirming a pick up time of 1:15 (the earliest available time) on Tuesday. I was excited that this new location is closer to our home (but still 45 minutes away) and that I did not have to go into the mall to pick up the cake with my 3 young children. Since we do not live close, I planned our day around picking up the cake at 1:15. When I arrived close to 1:00, I was told that the decorator did not show up and the cake would not be ready until 5:15. I let them know that was not acceptable since I did not live close and we were planning our party for 5:00 and asked whether they had any cookie cake that they could just put some frosting on and sell to me. They told me they did not and there was nothing they could do. They said they tried to call me, but my phone did not advise me of any messages. While I understand that things can happen, the store had plenty of advance warning and should have come up with an alternative for me as the customer. For example, there is another GAC within 20 minutes that they could have gotten the cake from for me or they could have at least offered me a coupon or a cookie for my troubles. I do not recommend this location and will not be returning here...

So I got a white chocolate macadamia nut ice cream cookie sandwich, it was good but as I was eating it my stomach started feeling weird (it was acting like I was eating coconut which I am ALLERGIC to. No one said anything about their possibly being coconuts in it, so I ignored the feeling), I forgives it was because I haven’t really ate much that day. I had my BF try it where he IMMEDIATELY said there has to be coconuts in it because it was what he was tasting. We asked where they confirmed my worst fear. Luckily I didn’t eat THAT much so it didn’t completely ruin our date night but I had stomach pains for the rest of the night and it messed me up relatively bad. We were not offered an apology, refund, or even a new cookie. Y’all really should disclose what is in the cookies or at least label them correctly. That wasn’t a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie, that was a COCONUT white chocolate macadamia nut. The only reason why I put 2 stars is because it was still very good and I wish it didn’t have...

Went in on Thursday, November 9 at 3:45 PM and there were two girls in the back room. A thin brunette girl wearing pajamas on her phone could clearly see me standing waiting to be helped. After not being acknowledged for 10 minutes I finally asked is anyone working. A taller blonde girl walked out from the back saying she could not hear me over the cookie machine, whatever that means. I guess these girls expect you to yell out for help instead of keeping an eye on the front desk. To make things worse the cookie display was basically empty. There were only a few options available. Lastly, this place is extremely dirty. Whoever is in charge please ask your staff to do some cleaning instead of sitting and texting on their phone. Maybe dress code would be nice too. Wearing a giant T-shirt and pajama pants with your hair down in a food store is...
