Update: 12/25/22 - I can only do 1 review per business, so I added an update to my last one….. On Christmas night everything was either packed or closed. Unfortunately, we decided to try this Denny’s 1 last time. We walked in about 8:30 pm and saw the restaurant was filthy and only had about 3 tables seated. A young lady stepped towards my wife and I. She told us they were closed. She stated they needed to “cleanup and process.” I looked at her and said “Excuse me?” “Process?” The young lady then smiled and said “Merry Christmas.” She immediately locked the doors after we exited. If anyone tells you this is a good place, they’re lying to you.
6/19/21. I felt the need to share my last experience as I’m seeing a lot of “recent,” positive reviews for this place and I know it’s not true. I have unfortunately been to this place enough times to know the people posting haven’t actually eaten at this location recently, regardless of the date of their posts. We rarely eat here anymore, which is down the street from my house because the service and quality have been exceptionally poor since the pandemic started. My latest visit was last Saturday 6-19-21 about 7pm. My kids wanted to take me to dinner early, for Father’s Day because I had to work a 12 hr shift on Sunday. We hit chili’s on Hwy 377 which had a 1 hr wait. Cotton Patch had a 1 hr and 15 minute wait. We drove past this Denny’s to Chili’s and noticed 3 cars in the parking lot, which I didn’t want to go to because of previous visits. The 2nd Chili’s had a 1 hr wait, so reluctantly we went to Denny’s as a 4th choice. There was 1 server, a prep person and 1 cook according to the server. I noticed what looked like someone had just spit on our table when I sat down, so I asked the server to clean it. Took 20 minutes to be able to place our order. The appetizer (tots with bacon & cheese) came out black. The server assured us they weren’t burnt. I ate 1 and took them back to the server. I told him to try 1, which he did and agreed they were burnt. I told him to just remove it from the ticket. He brought out another plate of them and apologized, saying corporate didn’t give them instructions on how to cook the new menu items. 2nd plate wasn’t burnt, but they weren’t real good either. My wife’s over medium eggs were over hard (very hard.) Her pancakes were awful. My daughters eggs were cold and her hash browns were way over cooked. I went to pay the bill and it was $95 for 5 people and nobody had gotten a steak. The bill had both appetizer plates on it. The server removed 1 and the bill dropped to $78, almost $20 (the appetizer wasn’t that much.) There was never more than 3 tables total the entire time we were there, but the server couldn’t keep up with our refills, napkins, etc. or the needs of the other customers present. Tables of guests that had left hadn’t been cleaned up either. Seemed they were more interested in their carry out/ delivery meals then the customers on hand. Life 360 app showed we had been at this location for 1 hr and 28 minutes. I had intended to add a copy of my receipt when I posted this, but now I can’t find it. We’re done with this Denny’s. We did post a picture of how much of our food...
Read moreMy Fiancé and I stopped here for a quick bite at about 11am and we left at about 12:45 We can tell the waitress was annoyed because she was the only one waiting tables but we didn’t think that would be taken out on us. We was patient and very polite as we’ve both worked in customer service and fast food in the past. After ordering and receiving our food we requested an side order of fries because not many comes with the order. The waitress rolled her eyes and walked away. Our table was near the kitchen, so when she walked away we could hear her very clearly, she said to someone in the kitchen in a very loud voice “ I need another fry! And you can imagine which table it’s for !” And both women started laughing as well as the male cook. At this point my fiancé walked up and asked her what did you say? She looked like a deer in head lights because she didn’t think anybody heard her. When he repeated what she said she looked surprised and then tried to lie. Her name is Brittney Allen and to our surprise the assistant manager ( i didn’t get his name but he was a nice asian man) was there and we learned, the woman Brittney was insulting us to was a supervisor named Mandy. The fact that Brittney speaks like this to somebody in a managing position shows that this is condoning behavior, and i see why they are so short staffed. People tend to forget how just not too long ago you couldn’t get people to come out to eat at a restaurant or order food from one because of covid, and people like me…. Your customers is what keep your business running. So for you to employ person who finds it so easy to insult the only black couple or any consumer in the restaurant is unprofessional, disrespectful , and disgusting. You guys want people to spend there money? Treat them with respect and appreciation for spending their hard earned money at your establishment and don’t employ people who don’t value your establishment. We both own businesses and would never condone an employee’s disrespect to valued customer. Without your customers you can’t run a successful business. Note to Brittney and Mandy… customers pay your pay check and offer you tips based on your service. You work at a fast food restaurant chain ma’am, you might want to humble yourself because at your age you should be doing something else with your life than insulting people about there weight. I can lose weight, but losing your job might just teach you some manners and how to keep your rude...
Read moreFood was really good! I would like my bacons more crispy but that is just preference and nothing to really complain about especially because I did not request it that way.
What prompted me to write a review was the exceptional customer service I received at this location. ( 35 off of Western center Blvd Fort Worth.
I am 58, a woman who has worked in a number of careers where customer service and customer experience are critical to the success of an industry.
My plan was to order to go and upon entering I was greeted by two young ladies. Angelica, and Anna were incredibly personable. Neat in appearance and genuine.
They chatted with me about the menu and offered their suggestions. Their enthusiasm was contagious and lifted my spirits. In the face of such positive, warm and youthful energy the fatigue and weight of a busy day melted away.
They offered me water while I waited and since it was quiet they continued to engage with me as I sat at the counter awaiting my meals to go.
I shared memories of my youth going to Dennie's after work with co-workers and one young lady Anna shared how her parents had met at a Dennys.
This made time pass and really impressed me. These young ladies were a treasure in today's work space. Made me feel welcome so much so that instead of grabbing some drive thru I popped in to get my Husband and I Dinner again.
This time I met another awesome young lady who reminded me very much Angelica - turns out it was her sister Lindsay, who is equally lovely inside and out and a pleasure to interact with.
She, like her sister was warm, positive and knowledgeable about the menu and kept me hydrated while i waited.
Whomever hired these young ladies are blessed to have them on the front end/ customer facing side of their business.
Never underestimate the value of genuinely kind and positive wait staff!!! I shared my positive experience with my mother then the next day with co- workers
As pleasant as the food is those young ladies are the main reason I will choose to return to Dennys with more frequency .
There was also a young man named Jaden - again very positive in my interactions
Tonight my husband and I will be eating some Good food.
Thank you All and God...
