I was very excited when searching this restaurant since they also serve kind of vegan. My daughter is vegan and I am not. So she order a kind of ginaling or picadillo with no egg, and it taste like sheās eating a soil. She gagged bcoz I cooker this kind of Food at home. I Love to cooked and to eat, wether in the restaurant or in my comfort home. and I know what The good foods taste like. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently tried the Filipino rice bowl with pork at Ober Here, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While there were definitely some things I enjoyed about the dish, there were also a few aspects that left me feeling underwhelmed.
Starting with the positives, the pork in the rice bowl was very tender and flavorful. I could tell that it had been cooked with care, and it was definitely the highlight of the dish. Additionally, the rice itself was cooked well and had a nice texture.
However, I found that the overall flavor profile of the dish was a bit lacking. The sauce that came with the pork didn't have much depth or complexity, and I was hoping for more interesting flavors that would complement the meat. Additionally, the portion size of the rice bowl was a a good size.
One other issue I had with the dish was that it felt a bit heavy and greasy. While I know that this is a common characteristic of Filipino cuisine, I found that it left me feeling a bit weighed down and bloated after eating.
Overall, while there were some things I enjoyed about the Filipino rice bowl with pork at Ober, there were also some aspects that left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. While I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to order this dish again, I would be open to trying other items on the menu at Ober Here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this place. It is located under Wabi House for a few months now rather than the food truck, but it still says open late. My favorite thing to get here is the coffee. Even my friends who do not drink coffee love their coffee. They also used to have ube icecream from another seller that was amazing and now they carry ube cookies with flan filling that is so good. My favorite bowl is the honey shrimp. Itās so filling but it doesnāt make me feel sick. Also if I could buy a bowl of just the vegetables I would love that because the pickled/sweet/spicy flavor is something Iāve never had before and is so addicting. The owner is super sweet and has always been happy to answer any questions we have. Every time weāre in the area we make sure to stop by even if itās just...
