Jonuzi’s Pizza — Restaurant in Fort Worth

So the other night my roommate was having a pretty heavy day at work so we decided to get pizza, and on a whim decided to check this place out. I'd heard a few people talk pretty well about the place before. So, I called in an order for two 16'' pizzas, an order of jalapeño poppers, and an order of onion rings. The family owned joint was clean, everyone was friendly and professional; I could really see that they loved what they do.

The two pizzas, Buffalo Chicken and Texas Ranch, were phenomenal. The buffalo chicken had that punch to it I wanted from a spicy pizza; the crust was crispy, the dough was perfectly cooked to that point where it's got that fluffiness to it. Meanwhile, the Texas Ranch was solid; the bacon was on point, the chicken was juicy, and they brought the whole thing together with the ranch drizzle.

The onion rings were crispy and practically melted in my mouth, and this was the first time I had a popper, now I want more. They were full of flavor and I could see and taste the freshness of the jalapeno!

And to make it even better, Mr. Jonuzi's stopped me before I left and said "Hold on, my wife just made cannoli!" and we got a free pair of cannoli's, ALSO a first for me, and now ALSO something I'll be getting again! The dough was crispy, filled with I think cream cheese, it was a sweet and tasty desert that contrast to the pizza really made the night.

We got home and made some hot cocoa, and man, Mr. & Mrs. Jonuzi, and their very well mannered son, really made my night swell. They're the best of people. We will be coming...

VERY impressed.. coming from a pizza snob (I admit it) this pizza is in my top 10 I’ve ever had. We got the supreme pizza, garlic bread with cheese + sauce on side, and two cannolis. Incredible quality, execution, and price.

First - they have menus with prices on them! I know this is so minor to some people but all of their take out menus have prices on them which is a rarity as most places have prices that fluctuate often. GREAT prices here.

Second - their vegetables are diced. They aren’t huge chunks on the pizza. It’s all evenly distributed and makes for a great bite. Smart moves on this I honestly had never thought about it!

Third - the crust and sauce… game changers. Wow!!! You can honestly taste how fresh they both are. The snap of the crust and the taste of the sauce out together were almost an emotional moment for me lol

Fourth - the garlic bread w/cheese and the cannolis!!!! GREAT choice to add these on. It’s a big delicious loaf of bread with garlic magic and cheese in the middle with a side of sauce for dipping. 10/10 rating. Truth be told I’ve never had a cannoli before because I despise ricotta cheese so much lol okay my mind has been changed. YES ricotta can be salty or sweet, this is a sweet version inside (I believe). Vanilla light cinnamon flavor (I think) ugh they were so good, crisp, and the filling melted in your mouth.

We cannot wait to come back!! You can tell the price of ownership at this establishment. Friendly, quality, impressive - worth...

I noticed a new pizza place opened and wanted ti check it out. They advertise it as Jersey style pizza and I was curious so I stopped in and the owner, Ron, was at the register to take orders. He explained the type of pizza and ended it with “it’s like a New York pizza but I’m from Jersey so I call it Jersey style”. From his accent and his son’s, you can easily tell they’re legit from Jersey. Ron even pointed to the brick oven and they made their own dough. His son told me they opened this location just a few weeks ago but they had an original one in Jersey, one in Denton and now this one. Both Ron and his son were super nice and I told them I’d be back another day to order.

I was excited because I haven’t found too many good pizzas in that style here. Came back the next day and ordered a medium pepperoni, medium cheese, meatball parm sub, and we got cannolis. The pizzas, meatball parm, and cannolis were delicious! My gf and I were really excited since we’ve been let down with the pizza places in the area. Ron remembered my name and his son was ecstatic that I came back.

We’re really excited to have such a great pizza place down the road and will be coming back to try some of the other items in the menu! If you’re a fan of New York style pizzas, like family owned businesses, and great service then this place is hands down the go to pizza place...
