Well, I hate to do this but I think this feedback really needs to happen. I live in the building and the couple of times I came in I had great experience and I thought this would be my regular spot. This is an awesome coffee shop but Iām now questioning the customer service training happening here. I visited today and the girl at the register didnāt greet me. She was looking at me very odd, like she was upset I even walked in. Kind of off put, I asked her if they sold their cold brew coffee to go. In a deadpan voice and direct look she said ānoā. I was kind of caught off guard by someone enjoying the word ānoā and just staring me down. It was incredibly awkward. So my next question was ācan I get two large cups full of cold brew to go then?ā I am trying to problem solve for this barista who seemed determined to make sure I could not buy cold brew in any quantity from her. She acquiesces and deigns to take my order and charge me $10 for two cups of coffee. She continues to giggle and gossip with her coworkers behind the counter while Iām standing there waiting to have cold coffee poured into two cups. 10 minutes later Iām presented with two iced coffees full of ice. I quickly explain I need these without ice, I just wanted two cups of cold brew to take home and put in the fridge. This is when she rolls her eyes at me and says in the most sarcastic tone on the planet ācoooooollllā¦.ā And just walks off in a huff. Even her male coworker looked at me apologetically and ran after her. I donāt think anything he said helped. She came back with my coffees that she had clearly just scoped the ice out of. I could hear her giggling and gossiping with a fellow coworker as she āworked on my orderā. When she handed them back to me she had the fakest smile. I ended up tossing it. Iām sure that girl spat in my drinks. This encounter was so unbelievably rude that I finally asked for her name. Iām not going back to the coffee shop because of Sab. I donāt know if thatās her real name because she knew when I asked for it I was very unhappy with her rudeness. Still kind of shocked with this whole episode. The other times I went in the staff was kind and attentive. It seemed like the Sunday crew was just unhappy to be there and were taking it out on the patrons. Good luck to you Sab but I donāt think you should be in the service industry. Itās not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a terrible experience here. Before writing a public review, I sent a message through the "Contact us" form on their website to give them a chance to address it, but weeks later and no one ever replied. So it's totally worth calling them out.
I arrived at 6AM (their posted opening time) and the door was locked. No big deal, they're running behind and that happens! I can be hang out and patient. The two girls who were working looked at me and turned away. Kinda rude but okay. At 6:10, one comes the door that I'm standing at, unlocks it, and walks away. I thought it was weird that she didn't open it and say hello, but again, fine. I approach the counter that both employees are standing behind ready to order but no one acknoledges me for a while, and instead are talking about personal stuff. I'm the only person in the store. Finally she turns around and takes my order (still no hello or attempt at being kind) and I order a drip coffee and muffin. She turns around and walks away, and begins helping the other employee with what appears to be an online order.
I go to the end of the counter to wait for my drink like they tell me to and give them an opportunity to get my drip coffee and muffin (which is literally just turn around, get the two items, and hand them back to me) and wait for a couple of minutes. When I realize they have no intention of helping me, I finally ask, "Is it okay if I go ahead and get the coffee and muffin?" And one looks at me, completely disgusted, and says in her best mean girl attitude, "Uhhhh, yeah, that's what we're doing." The other one slowly walks over and gets them and puts them on the counter without saying a word.
I know the service industry is tough. I tip well and I'm ALWAYS polite and not demanding, and frankly gave them way too much benefit of the doubt from the get go. But these two were completely apathetic and were irritated with my mere existence in the store. Too bad I helped contribute to their paychecks and all I can hope is that no one else's day is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are (literally) looking for this place but can't find it, keep looking. It's there. There is a big arrow directing you from 7th into this apartment complex, but once you pull in, it's not readily apparent just WHERE it is. Signage is poor, but once you find it, go on in, it's delicious!!
I enjoyed a cup of coffee at a location in Austin recently, so when I had time to kill in Fort Worth before a meeting, and I found out there's a Summer Moon nearby, I popped in.
They have a few tables by the counter, as well as a shallow counter with stools along the windows, but if that is crowded, or you plan on hunkering down using their free WiFi for a while, then there is also seating in an adjacent room. It was a cold day when I went, so nobody was outside, but it looks like you can enjoy your order alfresco when the weather allows.
Overall very friendly service. If it is your first time, ask about the "Moon" drinks before ordering, because some are VERY sweet. If you like that thing, you're in luck! If you don't, you're in luck as well, as they have plenty of options. That said, I suggest you try something in the Moon range of drinks, because that's what makes them different, after all.
Parking was fine and free, but I bet on some days you might not be able to park directly at Summer Moon and may have to park around the corner. Most spots were taken when I was there, even though it was not crowded (I assume they are the vehicles of people who reside in the complex).
I only take a star away, because it was (relatively hard to find). My map app didn't take me directly to the spot, and where it did, I thought perhaps they had closed or relocated. But I kept up the search (it's just one "street" over, so the search literally means an extra 20 seconds), and I'm...
