Taco Cabana is a great place to eat. My family really enjoys eating here when we can. However, the Beach/ Western Center Fort Worth, Texas location is not very friendly or timely. Chalk it up to a bad shift or short-handed staff, but my experience was not great. My wife placed an online order for pick up a couple of hours earlier for a specific time to walk in, grab my food, and hit the road. When I walked in, I waited 5 minutes for someone to ask if they could help me. When the young lady was working the drive thru and the front counter walked up, I was greeted with "I have to take this order" and walked off. 5 minutes after that, she comes back with a sour demeanor as if I was interrupting her. I explained I was there to pick up my order, and I saw the line cook in the back round throw his hands up in frustration because this location had not even started my order that was ordered 2 hours earlier. So I waited another 30 mins for my order to be made. As I was waiting, I saw another person walk in, and he waited about 7 mins because by this time I'm watching the clock. He asked if the inside was closed and was just the drive thru working and the young lady gave more bad attitude to this guy and he said F this place I'm going somewhere I can get some service. I write a lot of reviews and normally most of them are good however in this case something had to be said. If this is happening to me.....how many other customers are receiving this type of service and just stop coming back. Anyone wanting to place an online order at this location? DONT DO IT. You're better off going through the drive-through or picking a different location. I would have canceled my order on line however my card was already charged, and the whip to get your money back would be worse than waiting on the food. Good luck, fellow Taco Cabana lovers be prepared for battle when you walk into...
Read moreOnce again we will be taking a hiatus from Taco Cabana. It seems when the Taco Cabana in the Presido on North Tarrant Parkway closed, the poor service migrated to this location.
Tonight, my wife went through the drive thru and ordered with no issue. When she got to the window, the attendant repeated the order with several mistakes. This wasn't the main issue, but an annoyance as it seems to always happen at this location. After my wife paid, the window attendant then mentioned they were out of Coke and they would offer her a glass bottle coke with no upcharge. She ordered a large and paid for it, then she gets a glass bottle with half of the amount of Coke? What?!
Change the Coke syrup out or give her 2 glass bottles to make up the difference. Not our problem they ran out, and don't comment that they won't upcharge. They should have told her there wasn't coke to begin with.
Then she gets the food, pulls out, then stops in the parking lot to check the food.Guess what, we are missing 2 soft tacos and guacamole/ sour cream for our quesadilla. My wife has to go in and wait for the tacos to be made. Finally she gets home with the food and all the chips in the meal are stale.
I've had it with poor service and substandard food. How can anyone that provides poor service think that they should be paid $15 for minimum wage! Get my order right, be thorough, and provide some courtesy in your custmoer service.
I hate that we always have to double check our orders before we leave a drive thru. That job belongs to the window attendant. That's what they're paid for!
Bye Bye Taco Cabana. Not...
Read moreThis was my first visit and my last.
I came here because my usual breakfast place was temporarily closed. I have passed this place many times and thought of stopping in. I should have just kept going.
There was a fairly long drive-through line, but there were only two customers ahead of me inside the store, and the dining room was nearly empty. I placed an order for two chorizo and potato breakfast tacos.
It took them 29 minutes to get my order to me. Another customer who came in after me got served before me.
The thing became so obvious that even someone in the kitchen, who was not involved with my order, tapped her co-worker on the shoulder, pointed to me, and said, "That man has been waiting, like, half an hour."
When the worker she had said that to, brought me my order, she simply said, "Here you go." No "Sorry for the delay," or anything.
They did throw in an extra taco.
The tacos were tasty but pretty skimpy.
I was masked, and all staff were masked, and almost all customers, but I really hadn't planned to spend half an hour in an enclosed public space.
Had I known this would happen, I would not have come.
The staff seemed to be working diligently enough. No one was obviously slacking off. Again, they did have a long drive-through line, and they may have been preparing some sizable pickup orders. But it appears they simply forgot my order until 25 minutes after I placed it.
Perhaps this place stays in business because of their $2 Margaritas. I don't know.
I will go elsewhere...
