5-10-25 Update The weather is starting to heat up again and the AC is nice and cool inside.

Update She has seafood as a meat option now and it is EXCELLENT quality seafood! Large scallops, squid, mussels, shrimp, and imitation crab that goes awesome in the flavorful yellow curry or in some drunken noodles!

I go here because it is probably the cleanest restaurant/tables/dishes that I have ever seen. The dishes are nice too. As far as Thai food, they have the Thai foods you are use to (Pad Thai, drunken noodle, etc), but with a very big step up on freshness and quality. The Thai tea is great and it comes in a Mason Jar glass without the handle. Very fresh. The friendly owner runs it, takes your order at the counter, and brings out your order. You can tell she cares about the quality and service. I have tried many more Thai foods here than just the usual Pad Thai. With the weather cooling down, I suggest going on a freezing day and getting the yellow curry and Tom Kha soups.

The only improvements that could possibly be made is better AC in the Texas summer, offering more seafood than just shrimp, and maybe a Boba option for the Thai tea, although, the style/quality of the Thai tea could possibly change if they had to figure out how to serve it with the bigger straws. I'm happy if the Thai tea stays the same...

This is one of those places where you stumble upon it by accident. I usually wait until my second or third visit to measure consistency but I can’t want to share this gem.

One of my managers brought us here and we packed the place out. It was just two ladies, mother and daughter. They didn’t struggle at all to turn out food for a class of 20. Amazing.

Food 9.5/10 I got the Thai fried rice with chicken and shrimp. The rice alone was nutty and sweet. Well seasoned and not too soft. Rice texture was 10/10. The spice was there but didn’t linger too long allowing you to enjoy every bite as if it were the first. The eggs were fresh, not just sitting premixed in a bowl somewhere. The chicken and shrimp had great texture. Well seasoned separately giving the plate excellent contrast. My only personal preference would be more tender cuts of chicken. To sum it up, this rice was amazing!

Service was 12/10. The daughter at the counter was so sweet and greeted all of us with the biggest smile. The hometown favorite restaurant feel is strong here. Super rare these days.

Value $ 10/10 I got enough food for 3 people for $12. Can’t beat it.

Can’t wait...

Walking into My Thai Place is like being wrapped in a warm embrace, not just from the cozy ambiance but from the genuine smiles that greet you at the door. I had the pleasure of indulging in their Chicken Pad Thai, a dish where each strand of noodle was a carrier of flavor, perfectly balanced with the tender chicken, and the crunch of peanuts added just the right textural surprise. Accompanying my meal was an Iced Thai Tea that was the liquid equivalent of a sunset, both in color and in providing a serene end to a bustling day.

The staff at My Thai Place couldn’t have been more friendly, attending to every need with a grace that made me feel like a guest of honor rather than just another customer. The cleanliness of the place shone just as brightly as the flavors on my plate, and the cozy setting made me linger longer than I intended, not that I’m complaining. It’s rare to find a place that serves not just a meal but a whole experience. My Thai Place, you have my heart and...
