Dickmann's Sports Barn — Restaurant in Fort Wright

My first time coming here and it was a bad experience. The set-up is very weird. We sat down and a server took our drink order and sent us to the kitchen to place our food order. They had me pay there which is odd to pay for the food separately from drinks. When I paid I was prompted to leave a tip for the kitchen. I did. Then I sat down and my water was at my table. After that the server never came back to check on us or see if we were wanted to order a drink now that we had time to look at the drink menu online. The kitchen brought me my food. I wanted to ask our server for ranch and to order a seltzer and a beer, but not once did anyone come to check on us or to ask if our food came out correctly. Overall a weird setup to tip kitchen and the server and then to get zero service. I saw multiple tables around me having to go to the bar when they needed a refill of water, beer or even to get a to go box. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Overall it was a good experience. Had a party there for a fantasy football draft. Atmosphere was cool, lots of TVs and cool outdoor spaces. We ordered food and for whatever reason, my pager never went off. After my whole table got their food, I finally went up there and asked and found out my food had been sitting there for a while. I take it back only to realize it's ice cold. They offered to remake it but kind of gave attitude about how they announced it on the intercom several times. But it's a packed bar, I didn't hear it and otherwise, what's the point of the pager when you order? Anyway, he ends up remaking it and brings out the food but sort of throws it down in front of me and walks off. Anyway, good atmosphere, food was fine, and service was "meh." The server who got our drinks was great! On the other hand, when I ordered our food, I was automatically charged a 28% tip before I had the option to pick weather or not I wanted to tip. After the charge was processed, I clicked on "no tip", but they has already charged me! The manager later came over with my receipt that the $7.00 tip was taken off. He just played it on the table and walked away! Rude!! Listen, I tip! I was a server for 25 years! I do tip! But this place doesn't bring your food out to you!
