The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 is because the young lady at the counter, I believe Jackie is her name, was very courteous.
I stopped by to get a coffee thermos and a pound of coffee and was not 100 percent successful. After asking Jackie about the pound of Italian roast I wanted, she referred it to another gentleman employee there, who started searching in some cupboards below the coffee cup display, stating that it was moved that morning, but then coming up empty handed stating that there is none and they are "all out."
Starbucks used to have no issues grinding up some beans for a customer to purchase. I guess now they are only interested in making drinks at the counter. I find it hard to believe that they had no more Italian roast beans in the whole store and this is not the first time they pulled this on me. Time to find a new coffee joint.
Update. In the typical fashion that so many businesses today erroneously follow, Starbucks has replied to my dissatisfaction with a boiler plate automated response, pretending to care (because of course they are so busy) and referring me to a website website for additional remarks. Sorry Starbucks but I am not going to jump through any hoops for you (which you should actually be doing for the customer), and if you didn't catch my drift in my above review, I can't help you...
ย ย ย Read moreThe whole reason why we pay so much for Starbucks is that they make it exactly the way we want it, am I right? This location on Ellis & Brookhurst really let me down. I visited on a Monday afternoon about 1:45 pm. It was not busy.ย I ordered a Venti caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino divided between 2 cups, so I could share with my husband. That has been my usual order for several years at different locations.ย This was my first visit to this location. The cashier took my payment and a moment later, the barista told me that he could not split it for me. He said he could give me the cups so I could divide it myself. Messy! I told him that I have been ordering it this way for years at many different locations and they have no problem accommodating me. I did split it up between 2 other cups but it was a mess. The caramel was left behind in the cup and no more yummy whipped cream and crunchy bits on top. What a disappointment! When you pay almost $6 for a coffee drink, you should be able to get it the way I want it.ย Maybe I should have opted...
ย ย ย Read moreI've come here twice, and both experiences were not pleasant due to the tall reddish-blonde with ear pierced batista guy.
My first encounter with him was when I asked for the tray to hold my 6 drinks. It was dramatic of him to hand out the trays. I was shocked, and the lady next to me was too. We both laughed.
Earlier, I ordered 3 drinks. There was only one girl making all the drinks while the others were standing the opposite end talking. Two of my drinks already made, and I waited for my third. She made 4 other drinks before mine, which was fine because she was making them by the order and she was the only one working. When I saw mine being done, and it just happen the same tall, reddish-blonde, ear pierced batista came over. I spoke up and said, "These two are mine, and I'm waiting for my third one. I think it's on the counter over there." His sarcastic comment and his demeaning tone of how busy the place was, was annoying. Then I asked for the tray...oh my...the tray....
