Went in on Christmas Day. It was busy.. waited for our table for 40 minutes. Didn't minded the wait, because it's Christmas. A lot of things went wrong. Management need to see this . We usually love to tip and never ever really like to complain about much. We just won't go back. I use to work customer service, and i understand how crazy it could be specially during the holidays n I worked them all. I never ever treated any of my guest the way my server did. I understand it's busy. My husband n are both an easy going people. We are very thoughtful of others, we put ourselves in their shoes. Waited for someone to come by after we got seated a good 15 minutes wait. We keeping n waiting patiently. We had a lot of times looking at the menu. Our server finally came by, and not even said anything but, " what would you like" we told we like to put in our orders. She bring us the appetizer. Calamari, tuna roll, miso soup, and coconut shrimp. After waiting for another 35 minutes our lo mein chicken, chicken pad Thai came. Before I can ask she took off n never came back. I wanted to ask for hot sauce n just to remind her about my hot tea after my dinner. She never returned. After we ate, we waited patiently for het to return When she finally did we told her we would like to get 3 boxes n a check n reminded her I would like my hot tea. She left to get my hot tea, but came back with cup hot water " coffee " not tea bag that I'd order. At that point I gave up on her. I just drank Hot Water. I checked my bill to see if she had put the tea on the bill, n she didn't. I usually would ask for the tea. But at this point my husband got a little upset with her now. Because she never said anything to us other then took our order. I never told her about my tea She never smile, never told us her name, never said anything. We overheard the table across from us, she's not very happy, she's not really friendly. They never got their water n they waited as long as we did . They finally got their food n with their water n their silverwares. We had bad experiences before but not ever as bad as her. We been to a crazy restaurant but never like this. Her personality, the way she served us it's not acceptable. Maybe in your restaurant are okay with this. We had do much time waiting, we got to see a lot going on. People waited for tables n there were at least 5 tables available. I didn't want to tip her, but because it's Christmas we gave her $10. Our bill was almost $70. I ask for 3 boxes she gave us 2. Her service sucks, not friendly. If she hadn't took our order we thought she had speech problems. The number next to her name 16026 My husband and would tip $20 but we both didn't want to but...
Read moreThis review is for Ling & Louie's Asian Bar and Grill located at the Gila River Wild Horse Pass Casino. I saw some reviews complaining about the wait time and honestly, the wait is not bad for being located inside the casino on a Friday night. The Host, Amanda, was very transparent on the wait time and was very helpful with getting me started before deciding to dine in. She also brings awareness of the two text messages when my table is ready. While there is a couple of groups waiting for their table and a few impatient guests complaining right in front of her and just barely outside the entrance, Amanda still held her positive energy and continue to provide an excellent customer service to the next guest. I love the commodore between co-workers here as they check on each other to see if they need anything.
My next review is for my server, Charisse. Just as amazing and exceeding in customer service. She made sure that I was taken care of as soon as I sat down. She always checks to make sure if there are any questions on the menu. I let her know it was my first time at this establishment and she made sure I was welcomed and answered all my questions. I know she was probably super busy on a Friday night but not a second went by that I felt rushed or gave me a feeling that I was being bothersome. I had the Char Siu Pork Tenderloin with an added "Long Life" chicken rice soup.
Char Siu Pork was on the dry side, however, the "Long Life" Chicken Rice soup was amazing. Charisse paid attention to detail when I mentioned that I love spicy food and gave me a side of Siracha for my soup (Which was an added bonus to the soup! Perfection). I highly recommend the Long Life Chicken Rice soup but not as much as the Char Siu Pork and not worth the $20 in my opinion.
Overall, if you are looking for a nice place to eat while you are playing at the Wild Horse Pass, I recommend Ling & Louie's Asian Bar and Grill as the customer service was excellent. The food was good but not great, but, the customer service is what gives the 5 stars on this review. Thank you Amanda (Host) and Charisse (Server) for a pleasant evening dinning at your restaurant. I left with a good mood and that soup definitely brought me some good luck at the slots! If I had won the jackpot, I would've made sure Amanda and Charisse was taken care of. Until then, I hope management reads my review and acknowledge these ladies on their hard work and positive attitude on busy Friday...
Read moreFirst timer & definitely the LAST time here! Always out to try new food establishments; however, dining for a late afternoon lunch at Ling & Louie's located in Wild Horse Pass Resort & Casino was a big disappointment. Wait time to be seated was fast & efficient and that led me to believe that this restaurant would be worth the prices I seen on the menu. From there, the server was attentive & brought our drinks in a prompt manner which was normal for the less than busy atmosphere of dining patrons there. I've seen a very busy dining establishment and on this day it wasn't chaos. After drinks were delivered, I sensed an issue with the server for us and the dining patrons in the section we were seated. People were asking for drinks, one drink was nearly delivered to the wrong table, simple things like lemons & drinking straws were not brought in timely manners, and no drinks were being tended to for refills (including mine). The biggest disappointment was the flavor and food temperature (cold on the outer edges with warmth to the center of the food) which was combined with an extremely long wait time. I asked the nice couple seated next to us if there food was cold and they agreed that the food was not great, but they praised that this dining establishment has been a great place to dine at. I voiced my dissatisfied opinion and we all agreed on the quality of the food and service. I have to note that all dishes being delivered did not have that appealing sizzle or hot steam that visually displays hot quality food from the kitchen. I've read mixed reviews; however, if you choose to dine at this location take note that reviewers, including myself, have experienced poor food quality and sub-par food server service. A roaming manager, or even our server, to check on customer's dining experience would have been the ideal way to correct a poor quality review of Ling & Louie's at Wild Horse Resort & Casino. Maybe things will improve, maybe it was a one day isolated moment, but it definitely wasn't impressive for myself or the large number of diners in the area I was seated. Just hope it gets better for the future for this place.
Bon Appetit, My...
