Charleys Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Arizona

Placed an online order trying to be considerate because we saw via google that they were closing soon, we got there at the exact time that i placed the order for pickup , the staff was in the back talking , they seen us come up to the counter and didn't acknowledge us until we went to the door leading to the kitchen where they proceeded to tell us they were closed . Cool didn't ask if you were open or not . We told them we placed an online order and it was just a back and forth for 2 mins between the lady saying we didn't place an order because it didn't show up on their computers even though i showed her that the order was placed 15-20 mins prior to arriving , then her telling me i never paid because the total was still showing on the order confirmation i was showing her . Overall awful service for an establishment , had the workers not been in the back talking they would have seen the order was in fact in their system they just needed to refresh...

The food...OK. Everything around the food- just bad. Something is really off about this place. The tray was a ripped in half foam to go box, straws too short to put in the large beverages, pepperchinis out, tea out, papper towels out, the jalepanos were low quality, the staff performed like they were only had individual jobs and not cross trained, the lady at the cash register was also covering drinks and condiments so a line grew to about 7 deep before people gave up. They still have the 7 foot tall useless plexiglass from the pandimec that is impossible to order, yet just one foot to the right or left you can either breath on the food or the beverages. I’ve gone to Charley’s several times because it’s one of the better food options at this mall, but it comes at the price of poor service. They get my order wrong, forget about my order altogether, or overcharge me almost every time. There’s an older lady here that is often on a cell phone taking what seems like personal calls. I’ve actually had to wait for her to get off the phone before to take my order while she was standing right in front of me at the register before. I won’t be going back.
