A Taste of Uzbekistan in Colorado: The Registan Kebab House

Hello everyone! Today, I'm stepping away from the memory lane and coming back to the present day to share an exciting recent experience I had in Colorado. I couldn't resist telling you about a restaurant I had the pleasure of visiting last week, which opened just a few months ago. Its name - The Registan Kebab House - already sends waves of nostalgia through anyone who knows and appreciates authentic Uzbek cuisine.

Craving Uzbek food? If you are, you need to put this on your bucket list right now. The authenticity of the flavors and the soulful connection you'll feel with the food at the Registan Kebab House is unparalleled. This isn't just a claim. I've experienced it firsthand and can vouch for its authenticity.

Among all the fantastic dishes I tried, the standout for me was definitely the Tandori Samosa. Biting into it after 23 years was like stepping into a time machine. The flavors took me back to my youth, reminding me of the joy of discovering these recipes for the first time. It was not just a meal, but an emotion, a vivid memory brought back to life.

Now, let's talk about the team. The place is a real family affair, the heart and soul of which is Timur - the mastermind and primary owner of this culinary gem. Accompanying him is Ochilbek, the 'Master of Samsa,' whose magic hands craft the most delicious samsas. Alena, the customer service manager, ensures you feel right at home and has everything you need for a delightful dining experience.

This trio is just the tip of the iceberg; the entire family is involved in the operations, infusing each dish with love and tradition. The Shish Kebab, grilled on charcoal the traditional way, is a culinary masterpiece. Each bite will transport you to the streets of Uzbekistan, experiencing the culture and traditions of the place through its cuisine.

The atmosphere of the restaurant also mirrors the warmth and charm of Uzbekistan. Decorated with little elements that echo the country's rich heritage, the place makes you feel like you've been whisked away to a Uzbekistan.

In conclusion, the Registan Kebab House is a 5-star restaurant that embodies the spirit of Uzbekistan through its incredible team, authentic food, and welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking to explore Uzbek cuisine, this is a must-visit destination. Make a note, and be ready for an unforgettable culinary journey.

I can't wait to return and explore more...

⭐☆☆☆☆ The worst restaurant experience of my life. If you want to pay for frustration instead of food — this is the place. The dishes looked like they were cooked out of pure revenge. The soup tasted like someone whispered “salt” over hot water, and the steak could’ve been used as building material.

But the real highlight was the waiter. Rude, arrogant, and clearly allergic to basic manners. He rolled his eyes when we asked for napkins, sighed like we ruined his entire week, and practically threw the check on the table. I’ve had friendlier encounters with parking meters.

The service was slower than a snail on vacation, the food was cold, and the bill was higher than my expectations — which is saying a lot. If you ever wondered what disappointment tastes like, go ahead and book...

We recently hosted a party for 30 people at Registan Kebab House and were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, service, and hospitality. The staff paid exceptional attention to detail, customizing our orders to perfectly meet our needs. We were even able to bring our own speakers and enjoy a lively party with great food and music. Everyone had an amazing time. We are very grateful for making our event so memorable.

10 months ago we had to book a banquet on short notice, and the restaurant manager was highly responsive. They recommended a menu that fit our budget, accommodated extra guests on very short notice, and provided exceptional food and service.

We love this place and will definitely come back for more good food and making more...

Very good Uzbek restaurant where the Samarkand used to be. The borscht was delicious with plentiful beets and chunks of beef. I just wish it came in a cup size as well as a bowl so I would have had room for two kebabs, but the lamb kebab I did get was excellent. The meat was tender and flavorful. The onions added a textural contrast that enhanced the dish. The medovik (honey cake) was moist and a good end to the meal. Service was excellent - prompt and friendly. The space is comfortable and nicely decorated. There was plenty of parking but it was early.

I ordered takeaway and they served food that was bitten by a rat, their food has teeth marks from rodents, the food is clearly not stored properly, it is not clean and eating such food without knowing it is very harmful to people's health and dangerous. I feel very sick from what I saw. How can a catering establishment allow this, it is terrible. It is obvious that the kitchen is dirty and the standards of cleanliness are not met.
