Tacos DF — Restaurant in Aurora

I have always seen Tacos DF but never stopped in. This past Saturday, my sister, my boyfriend, and I were hungry after a sipping and painting night. Tacos DF was still open and it was on the way to my sister's house, so we decided to try them.

They have a full menu, but when you have tacos in your name, I'm going to order tacos. I ordered 1 tripe and 1 tongue with a bowl of menudo. My boyfriend ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 1 barbacoa and my sister ordered 1 tongue (because of me) and 1 barbacoa. We also ordered horchata mexicana.

We were not disappointed in the least. The tacos were so yummy and although they looked small, they were so filling. The menudo was also perfect.

They also have a fresh salsa bar. I must warn you, their salsas and pickled veggies are super spicy. I like a lot of spice, but some of the salsas were like war in my mouth.

I want to go back to get another tongue taco....or two. They were cooked perfectly that the tongue was...

Have been here a couple of times over the years, never really wowed by the food but do enjoy the large selection of taco meats to choose from, tonight I was charged incorrectly for a taco platter, 2 tacos are $6.50, taco platter is $7.75, was charged again for $3.12 to add rice and beans to make a platter, got home and the beans were cold and literally taste like a cigarette butt was directly put out in the beans, pushed around to see if actual butt was in the beans, all the meats were super salty, the only really edible part was the rice, tried to call back to inform of beans and no answer and vm is full so I couldn't leave message, probably won't be...

Ooooh weee! My Prego Cravings have brought me to yet another amazing food experience. The Barbacoa is slow-cooked and full of flavor. The chicken is grilled fresh. The tortillas are homemade everyday. On the particular day that I went wanting just a container of meat and tortillas on the side, although they do not serve it by the pound, I was still served exactly what I wanted at a fair price. So delicious! I was able to take the meat home and make tacos, burritos, and nachos throughout the week. Yes Barbacoa Mexican food week! Exactly what the baby ordered.
