I absolutely love Pikine. The food was fabulous. I had the dibi. If you have never experienced the wonderful tastes of Senegal, TRY PIKINE!!!. Now to the owner. I traveled from California and was anxious to visit the Pikine food truck, remember Dibi, this was my purpose of visiting Pikine. This is not a dish served everywhere. I contacted Pikine to find their location, unfortunately I was not able to access their location because of the location protocols. Hearing of my situation, Mr Diop, reached out to me to make it right. And boy did he. He make me a special order and delivered it personally on his day off!!! Who does that? I was amazed by his generosity, kindness and his desire to make his customers happ, even this foodie traveler who he could have been just a missed customer. First off my wife and I walk up to the truck and the first thing I notice is the line. The second thing I notice is the music. The music had me immediately and dancing ensued. Then we got our food. The wings were crispy just how I like it! The main dish we ate was the Chef Special which was a stew with chicken and rice. AWESOME!!!! Got the lamb brochette and fries, amazing food. It seemed to me that they were not given fair warning how many people around my office go to food trucks, and were very overwhelmed with the number of people that showed up that day.
