Willow Street Beauty Lounge - Best Beauty Salon in Denver, CO — Local services in Four Corners States

Despite being a regular at the coffee shop across the street, this salon only came to my attention because I was a meme - I filled my online cart on a haircare website with $200+ in product and scoffed at the idea of paying $6 shipping and handling. I plugged my zip code into the brand's retail locator and was delighted to see Willow Street pop up so close to me.

I was online shopping for haircare products because in November at a different salon I got one of the worst cuts/colors I've had in adulthood. My mother, parent to a former goth (me), thought I did it myself. My friend marveled that it swallowed light against known laws of physics. For almost two months, I've kept my hair in an unwashed, unbrushed bun and had hair anxiety dreams.

When I walked into this salon, I was prepared to buy the products I had been researching onine to resolve my situation and go, but after being greeted by a wonderful receptionist, a kind stylist (Sofia) came to talk to me about what best might suit my needs. Upon hearing my story, she consulted with the salon owner, Libby, who authorized a complimentary wash and condition.

When I left, my hair was not like silk, it was like satin. Narcissus would see his reflection in my hair and turn to stone. Today was the first time in almost two months that a brush went through my hair. I bought the recommended products and made an appointment for a trim in the future. I walked in to buy product, and walked out with a new attitude and haircare home.

Libby and Sofia's thoughtfulness moved me to tears throughout the whole unexpected experience. The owner and stylists at Willow Street demonstrated exemplary customer service, talented and knowledgable styling, and good business. Most remarkably, they treated me with a genuine kindness that is rare anywhere and made this experience feel downright serendipitous.

Willow Street is the salon every woman wants to go to. You walk into to this high scale salon and youre welcomed by everyone. All the women are so kind and will go out of their way to help you. The ambiance instantly relaxes you and invites you to enjoy your time there. Libby, the owner, is so kind and approachable. She has always gone out of her way to check in with me every time I come in. She will sit down and talk about what's been going on lately. She will hype you up if you're not feeling so hot. Overall, Libby wants to make sure you're comfortable and happy at the salon. Now for my girl, Bri, Bri has been the best thing that has ever happened to my hair but mostly my whole life. Bri goes above and beyond.. and beyond.. for all of her clients. She is a miracle worker and provides you with exactly what you envisioned (even if you sent 6 pinterest pics, 9 google inspos, and 13 different ideas off the top of your head). Bri also takes the time to listen and gets to know you. She takes the time to make you feel heard. From my experience at Willow Street all of the ladies do the same. I've never heard anything less than excitement from clients leaving the salon. The women work on all types of hair, men, and children too. I highly recommend this Salon to anyone, but be prepared to leave with dozen brand new friends/family. Ohh and lets not forget about the snacks! Always a great selection of drinks and snack available! 😋 The hair products offered are definitely top notch and have saved my hair from the brink of disaster. Libby always runs specials and makes the products obtainable to all clients. Choosing Willow Street has been the best decision I've made...

What could have been a bad experience was somewhat salvaged by my hair stylist. I asked for hair color you could not only see in certain lighting (I have black hair). Unfortunately the toner messed up. My hair came out the black I went in with. However she made time for me to come in the next day to fix it. While it is not EXACTLY what I was looking for, I am grateful she made the time and owned that it was not what I wanted. I have another appointment to see if she can fix it and can update once done.

The vibe of the salon is very cool, the decorations are spot on and they keep offering water or drinks to you which is very customer service friendly. Hence the high rating. Also my hair stylist herself was extremely nice.

Overall, I am willing to give the salon another shot. But for 300+ I would expect a better overall outcome. I do think the next session will be better and maybe they can offer a discount or some sort of courtesy. And yes- I did love my stylist, she was extremely kind and supportive.
