By far the worst experience my husband and I have ever gotten at this restaurant. I'll start with the waiter. She was nice, but poorly trained and didn't know how to enter orders by her own admission. She apologized that she didn't get the correct training on the tablet they use.
While waiting more than 40 minutes for our order, we watched the restaurant operation as we were seated next to the kitchen. There was a new staff member doing training on a tablet near us with the volume on high. We now know all about Chili's training program as we had to listen to the entire thing. Apparently this restaurant has no break room.
Another staff member joined the trainee at the table with three large pizzas from Marcos. Nothing speaks as loudly as restaurant staff not eating their own prepared food. This staffer was joined in turn by several more. Each brought outside food (cookies, fried chicken, chips) from other restaurants.
We then saw an apparently off duty staff member wearing a "I Love DILFs" t shirt in Chilis gray uniform color. More and more staff arrived, hugs and kisses all around. The staff didn't seem to notice the guests looking on in dismay.
Before long this party was in full swing 5 feet from our table and other Chilis diners. The manager joined in on several occasions. Apparently this is a regular thing here, partying in front of guests waiting interminably for food.
The party wasn't confined to the dining room. Staff was bringing outside food into the kitchen, some wearing prep gloves. At this point I decided to walk to the restroom and on my way caught a glance into the kitchen. There was food scraps and trash on the floor. Apparently kitchen safety and cleanliness takes a back seat to staff parties.
Our drinks eventually came out. My husband got ice tea and it tasted like chemicals. The manager, though hovering all around, was too preoccupied to speak with paying guests. When our food did finally arrive it was ice cold and prepared wrong. Refire orders were entered and we settled in to watch the show while waiting again to eat.
The new burgers arrived, one correct the other with nothing but cheese meat and bun. Another wait to get the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and sauce. Finally diced lettuce and tomatoes arrived. At this point we were tired of this charade after two hours and just ate what we were given.
In the end, our bill arrived. On the order were 4 burgers instead of 2 and refire orders repeated 7 times. We were charged for appetizers and drinks even though we had ordered off the combo menu that included them in the deal. A $26 order was entered as a $74 order.
We waited again to speak with the waiter but she didn't know what went wrong. My husband tried to talk her through it. 2 burgers with fries, appetizers and combos, each $11.99 times 2 plus one upcharge for bacon at $1.00. She said she couldn't make the order be combos after the fact and ended up comping everything but the 2 burgers.
In the end, what should have taken an hour or so took over 2 hours. We will not be back and will be reporting this to corporate. If i could give 0 stars I would. This location is poorly managed and badly trained. Sadly the location on 27 in Four Corners...
Read moreWe have been going to this Chili’s restaurant for years. We stopped in tonight and had a 30 minute wait to be seated which isn’t bad for this busy location. We ordered chips & salsa, skillet Queso, Classic Nachos and a Smokehouse combo with smoked brisket, crispy chicken crispers, fries, street corn and garlic toast. The first batch of chips we were served were almost entirely broken crumbs. The second batch was much better. The nachos were prepared just fine. The skillet Queso was extremely thick tonight and seemed to be lacking Queso, as it was mostly chili. I made a mistake ordering the brisket. Coming from Texas, I have high standards and this was a complete disappointment. It was served shredded (1)and smothered in bbq sauce (2) and it was really fatty (3). Three strikes and it is out. I will never order this again and I don’t recommend it. The crispy chicken crispers were a bit over cooked and not served hot. The street corn was over cooked and over spiced. The flavor that stood out was the chili spice and the corn was not crisp at all. The fries were perfect. The garlic toast was toasted on one side only and a bit on the salty side. Service tonight was a little slow. Our server didn’t appear to have a large area to attend to and the restaurant was not very busy by the time we were seated. We will return to this Chili’s again, we just now know a few items to avoid ordering. I hate rating so low, but this is deserved tonight.
Feb 26 - This is our neighborhood Chili’s and visit every couple of months. There is usually a long wait time (30-45 min) to be seated. Tonight was no exception and we know this coming in. We ordered our meals and appetizers and we also Gita dessert with our meal. Everything is usually pretty good but tonight, there are some opportunities. The crisp chicken crispers were flat and a little tough. I’m not used to getting flat chicken strips. The iced tea had a really odd flavor to it too. Almost like it had been wrapped in plastic too long. It was drinkable just weird. Our dessert was cheesecake and it was served frozen. Not much of an issue as we decided it was a sign that we didn’t need to eat it right then and would be best to take it home and enjoy later on. Our server was Devan and she was outstanding. Her persona was happy and welcoming and she was attentive to us and the tables around us. She is definitely a star server at this Chili’s and we would ask to be seated in her area again. We asked fir a box to go for the cheesecake and shared that it was frozen. We weren’t sharing to get anything, just to let her know. If you don’t know about an issue, you can’t fix it for others right? She brought us another slice to go to enjoy at home later. Devan is outstanding and Chili’s should be proud to have...
Read moreAbsolutely disappointed in the service and management at this Chili’s restaurant. My daughter and her friends had dinner before their senior prom hosted at the Omni on Friday, 4/4/25. To add, my daughter is also a server and was truly upset by their experience. At the end of their meal the server began to over stack all of the dishes from the table, most that were already neatly stacked in piles. The server proceeded to over stack dishes containing bbq and ranch sauces on the dishes and dropped the sauces on one of the girls light green prom dresses. The server did not apologize and left the table without returning. After everyone had paid for their meals, besides the young lady who’s dress was ruined, right before prom that she had spent so much money on and all day getting ready for and was in the bathroom trying to fix while patrons from the bar area jumped in to help, that is when the manager approached the table and said I will take care of 50% of the bill for the girl that’s dress was ruined. Not once was there an apology from the server nor manager. The manager should have apologized along with the server and offered to have the dress dry cleaned along with her entire bill comp’d. I myself was a server for 35+ years and all restaurants that I have worked in would have never been so negligent to not apologize and not offer to have the young girl’s dress dry cleaned and something in compensation such as her bill paid and a coupon for a later date or something to apologize for her dress being ruined right before her senior prom. Not only did the manager also not apologize but acted as if this was not a big deal and to say well I will give you a 50% discount is completely unacceptable. When I personally was trained in the restaurant industry the most important thing that we were taught is that every guest should be treated as if they were a guest in your own home. This young lady worked so hard for that dress that she paid for herself and spent all day to look beautiful for and right before prom your server made a mistake but to act like it was nothing in one of the most memorable moments of this young ladies life was unacceptable and we will be sure to advise all of the poor service and management at this Chill’s...
