Slow service from front of house to back. We put our names on a waitlist and were told about 30 minute wait. I understand a little about wait times, as I hostess at a higher end restaurant. Well there was a group of 5 women in front of our family of 5. A table of 15+ walked in about 2 parties after us, wasted and stumbling. Seated themselves and then proceeded to have 2 sets of tables with 2 separate servers. Afterwards another family of 5 walked in and were seated immediately. We asked the host why they were not seating by waitlist and he replied he didn't know there was one he just got there. We told him there were a group of ladies in front of us and we had waited over 30 mins. They asked if we were comfortable sitting in a booth, which we replied yes but offered it to the group waiting longer than us. They kept thanking us for speaking up even for them and told us to take the seat for the kids sake. After about 10 or so after seating we finally had a server walk by and we had to ask for menus. She finally took our drink order. We told her we were ready to order. The older couple sitting in front of us had ordered salads for appetizers. They waited longer for their salads than we did for our cheese fries. We were not checked on often. Had to ask for refills. Prebussing was not done. After 45 mins of waiting on cheese quesadillas and a burger and never recieved them we asked for our check. They expected us to pay for food we never ate. We paid our drink tab and left. As we were leaving another couple stopped us and asked if we had never recieved our food after being there that long. Apparently they were on the waitlist right behind us and had not even gotten their drink order in. If you are that behind in the kitchen, have a manager touching tables and explaining the situation in front of house. Bring waters to keep guests happy or do drink orders quickly. The longer a guest sits at a table without contact the more irritated they become. Waiting on food is not an issue. Waiting on service is. I understand a kitchen being backed up, especially on a Saturday night, but not communicating with guests is unacceptable. Give estimated wait times. Let guests know kitchen is backed up or short staffed. Most people have worked in the restaurant industry. I felt really sorry for the couple in front of us... 25-30 mins for a bare basic salad is really not understandable. I hope you get better management and training at this location sooner. I've traveled all over the country and have been to many Chili's locations.... this is by far the worst managed. There was still a line out the door when we left without eating. The table sitting length is not the issue, it is the kitchen/waitstaff. I really hate to see servers struggle due to something out of their control. Much hope that this place gets the attention and growth it needs to succeed. Great potential located near many fast food...
Read moreWe ordered take out tonight from the Chili's a few miles from where we are staying. I ordered the baked seafood with two side orders; Mexican rice and black beans. My sister ordered dry rub ribs with loaded mashed potatoes and asparagus. Our order arrived to our vehicle approximately 10 minutes after we arrived. The food was hot. My sister commented it was to hot to hold in her lap, she received a sunburn like skin burn on her leg, the food was hot... It took 10 minutes to drive to our current home. My food was still very hot when I pulled it out of the bag. I realized my Baked seafood and pasta was in a thick dish it was obviously baked it. About the food... WOW!!! I can't even begin to tell you about the wonderful flavor. My sister said her ribs were amazing, her loaded mashed potatoes were better than she remembered and her asparagus was cooked to perfection. My Baked Seafood was a dish full of shrimp and crab meat baked with pasta, alfredo sauce, green onions and red peppers. One bite and my mouth exploded with wonderful flavors. My only negative was the Mexican rice. It was definitely NOT Mexican rice. It was more like half cooked white rice with a few spices added for a little flavor. The black beans reminded me of eating black eyed peas growing up. Since I didn't like the rice I decided to mix it with the black beans. What a difference. Now i had a new black bean and rice dish....
Read moreMy family of 5 visited this location on Saturday, June 16th 2018, which happened to also be my 30th birthday, as we get older we don’t expect a whole lot to come of birthdays as we do when we are small children, but we wanted to have a good dinner at one of the places we LOVE to eat. We were visiting from out of town while staying at a nearby Resort. My family usually has no complaints when it comes to chili’s because we all enjoy a great portion of the menu items. My husband is quite shy, but he took the initiative to ask the hostess if they could sing me happy birthday in secret, when they never came, he looked for our waitress and couldn’t get ahold of her, he finally asked her about it and they told him they usually don’t sing for adults and that they do for small children! Well excuse him for asking, but obviously that’s not what he was expecting. Aside from that because it was really not a huge inconvenience as I would have felt embarrassed, my boneless wings were not cooked correctly since the coating was all falling off, our egg rolls were soggy, my daughters macaroni and cheese was extremely dry and there weren’t nearly enough napkins. We came around 4pm and the place wasn’t very busy at all, so I’m afraid to know what it would have been like if it were. Our bill was $80, I wish I would have cooked my own birthday...
