Wendy's — Restaurant in Fox Lake

We come to this Wendy's often and spend quite a bit of money there. Today my wife, four children, and I after grocery shopping for an hour across the street had to get a warm dinner fast and chose Wendy's as we often do. A family on a budget we order several items.off the dollar menu instead of wasting money on gimmicky kids meals. Our kids get more food and we spend less... anyway the young lady taking order was extremely dissatisfied with the the amounts of value items I was ordering for my 4 hungry growing children and made her opinion clear in both tone, exacerbated breaths, and going so far as to say, "I guess" in response to my asking if I could order 5 Jr. Cheese burgers (as my 2nd item order)... I was very disappointed and realize that this was just one immature employee that probably thought I was a car full of high school kids joy riding in 0° weather on a Saturday evening. If it wasn't for the 4 wonderful children who were very hungry at that moment I would have drove off, but being more mature I put there well being over my pride but I have no issue making sure Wendy's and their customers know how rude the young lady taking orders was and it is a shame they don't give that privilege to be the face of a huge franchise to someone who understands that every item sold keeps the restaurant doors open. Please know I will think twice before going to Wendy's in the future after this and a few other sub par...

On 10/9/21 at about 1140 I walked inside to order 1 burger, no cheese, then on regular single, small fry, and 2 chocolate frostys one large one small. It went down hill fast. Brought me 2 small frostys one vanilla, so I gave it back, and I said 2 chocolate one small, one large, again he brought small, so I said forget it. Then came the burgers. Someone grabbed one of the burgers, brought it to the window, then a minute later, he put it back on the rack, after he gave it to person at drive through, then they put it back on the rack, and the counter guy picked it up and put in my bag, of course, I did not want it so I looked at it and was chicken, not a burger as I ordered, so I gave it back, then I waited for another one. Got home and both burgers were not what asked for had cheese on one and everything on other. Second time in two weeks they did this, SO CHECK ORDERS HERE BEFORE YOU LEAVE

Next day went and got biscuits and gravy for my dad, at 9 they said have nothing made it will take about 10 minutes. I can’t believe this one Wendy’s is so very disorganized!!!

It will be difficult to come back here, only reason so far it’s 5 minutes away from house. They really need to upgrade how they do...

We long for the day, where we can give this Wendy's a 5 star rating. Everything from this store seemed ok: the menu, the ordering, the price, the service. I let them know & I'll let you know: At home, 5 minutes away, salad was wrong, burger was a mess, and the answer on the phone was not above par. Is it, as your, "the receipt showed correct salad rung" statement, the initial problem? To Wendy's: ironically a Cement Powder Bag IN the POTHOLE, is just that: IRONIC. Our loyalty to Menard's, Jewel, Shell, bank, & Wendy's is strong. It's bad enough dealing with slalom course of potholes (all year) from signal light through Fox Lake Commons' outer lot. A pothole big enough for my sedan tire, immediately after pickup window -- why? Is this the result of the freezing temperature? Could it be the POOR PLACEMENT of your downspout before winter? Who leaves a useless bag of cement powder, in there -- pranksters? Finish with, we choose Wendy's for the overall price & quality of food, along with friendly order takers & window greeters. We long to return to 5 star ratings...
