Disgusting! Our entire meal was inedible. We ordered extra bacon (see picture.) One order was burnt to a crisp and somehow cold as ice on a hot day?!? Clearly, it had been sitting around for quite awhile and they dumped it in to our bag instead of the trash, where it belonged. The two orders of bacon that came with our meals were still raw and were in the same container as the rest of our food. (Sorry, I didn’t get a pic because it was in the trash before I thought to take one.) The rest of our food had absorbed so much bacon grease and likely trichinosis that we threw everything away! The other pictured orders looked fine to eat. I love crispy bacon but it was too hard to chew because it wasn’t fresh and went in the trash, as well.
That’s what you get when you get a delivery through #DoorDash from the Bob Evans on Broad. We have dined in the Broad Street store on multiple occasions and the food was great but delivery is another story. Due to pandemic precautions, the delivery person can’t check the bag because it is stapled shut. Other restaurants ensure the order is correct for delivery but Bob Evans employees take advantage of the situation and send you their TRASH because they can get away with it. This is the second and last time we order anything from there. When something similar happened the first time, we thought it was a fluke. We were obviously wrong.
The delivery person works for DoorDash so trying to complain is frankly pointless. The restaurant and DoorDash just blame one another. So, your only recourse is to not tip your dasher—which would be a d*ck move because it’s not his/her fault that the restaurant didn’t do its job. This sort of thing never happened until the Broad Street location became the DoorDash default for our area (after the Riverside location closed.) There is a Bob Evans on Wilson Road that is closer to us and I have NEVER had to throw away my meal when it came from there. We’ve ordered tons of food from Bob Evans via (DoorDash delivery) in the past and never...
Read moreI've been going here for several years, but will NOT return to this location. Family of one of the servers (Cheyenne) came in being obnoxious, and foul mouth, which seemed to give Cheyenne and other servers the green light to be obnoxious and foul mouthed as well. Mr. Evans would roll in his grave if he heard the language being used, and YES, I PERSONALLY KNEW MR. EVANS and I know for a FACT he would NEVER allow that kind of unprofessionalism in the workplace. Several employees spent time hanging around the disruptive family table, ignoring the rest of the customers. I sat for 10 minutes, couldn't get my server's attention because she was too busy having recess time. She also paraded a quarter pan of butter around the dining room, bragging that she didn't have to do her side work because someone else had done it. That's not only unprofessional, but unsanitary as well. I WAS going to order dessert, but since she was too busy playing, I got up and started to the register. I guess that got her attention because she shoved the check at me and when I took the check without saying anything to her, she got lippy with me. Also, your customers are just that, CUSTOMERS. Not "babe", "boo" or "momma". Management needs to hire employees who will conduct themselves in a professional manor and if the family of an employee comes in for a meal, the family should act respectful, be treated as any other customer and employees strictly forbidden from hanging around or sitting at the table, and if the family is being obnoxious and disruptive, they should be...
Read moreCan't keep up with Sunday breakfast rush? Maybe that's not fair of me to say. I've only been to this location once. Bob Evan's is one of my favorite restaurants; I've been to many of them, many times over the years. But this was probably one of the worst experiences, and should probably be noted: Came on a Sunday, realizing we just missed church rush, so didn't have high expectations and we're both understanding people. The hostess was sweet but had to wipe down the table before we sat, and the booth benches were dirty. The place was not completely packed. Took 15 minutes or so before greeted by server. Asked for waters and cappuccino and hot chocolate. Cappuccino and hot chocolate came without the waters, were luke warm and tasted like flavored water... Neither came stirred; all the powders had settled at the bottom. We didn't have silverware to stir it with either. Food took about an hour to come. Had to ask for silverware, waters, and refills on our drinks when the food came. Silverware and waters finally came, without straws, but no drink refills (both are supposed to be bottomless). Our food was cold by the time we dug in...it wasn't very warm to begin with. Egg whites in over easy eggs were a fair bit still runny and translucent. Steak came medium well and very dry. We'd asked for medium rare. Drink refills never came, empty cups were never taken, and we were expected to put our plates on our server's tray, cleaning off the...
