We recently moved our business closer to this location and had the opportunity to dine here. The staff was great—friendly and welcoming—and the food was delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the environment is clean and pleasant.

So why only three stars? I specifically came here for halal food. I’ve brought friends, ordered takeout for my family, and never had any concerns because the menu clearly states "halal," and the staff has confirmed it multiple times. However, while standing at the counter, I noticed small marshmallows available for crepes. Out of curiosity, I asked, "Are these halal as well?" To my surprise, the cashier said no, they are not halal.

I was genuinely shocked and felt misled. Everything was supposed to be halal—until I asked about something specific. If I had brought my kids, I wouldn’t have thought to ask and would have let them order freely, assuming everything was halal. This is extremely disappointing and doesn’t make sense when there are plenty of halal marshmallow and gummy bear producers in New Jersey.

I urge the owners to take this matter seriously, as customers expect full halal compliance when a business markets itself as such. I’m willing to update my review to five stars if I receive clarification from the owner regarding this issue.

I ordered a chicken Caesar salad (17$!!!!) and when I got it home it came with Italian caesar dressing. I called them to confirm it was a mistake and not what they actually offered with their Caesar salad; There wasn’t a list of the dressings on the menu and I wasn’t sure. So after finding out a mistake had been made, their solution was for me to come back. I did not want to drive 20 minutes round trip in the rain so I asked if they could deliver it? No. Ok, so what now?

He tells me to tell whoever answers the phone next time I call to explain what happened so I can get a discount. He didn’t put my info in the computer or take my name. Totally uninterested.

Not good enough. I worked in the food service industry for years leading up to and throughout college, and at every place I ever worked, an issue like this would have been handled better. The person I spoke to oozed with apathy. I always enjoyed the food here the 6 or 7 times I’ve ordered thus far, however based on the lack of customer service, I won’t order from them again.

If you get food from here, you can expect a decent meal but don’t expect them to make right a mistake if it happens. I get the impression they are very busy for lunch based on their location but I’ve noticed the business is almost nonexistent during dinner. Also the grilled chicken...

I first tried this mediterranean spot near my home a few months back and I ordered the shawarma dinner, it was great, so I ordered dinner again about two weeks ago, and it was not good, I ordered the mediterranean platter with hummus, it was horrible and falafel was aweful, the pita bread I guess was heated up in a microwave because by the time I got home mind you a 4 minute drive and it was hard and food was not hot at all. I placed my order at the location and waited for the food. So yesterday we thought we give it another try before the storm and try the breakfast, it was a pure disaster to say the least! Everything was burnt and the the breakfast bowl potatoes were hard as a rock, NOT cooked!!! No powdered sugar or syrup and or whipped cream put on my ordered as stated on the menu. So sad and disappointed! The staff seemed to be nice and pleasant, However; the cook must have had a few bad couple of weeks or something because the food doesn't taste...
