Oink and Moo BBQ — Restaurant in Franklin Township

Ordered 2 platters and the chili brisket. When they came out I thought there were flowers on the trays but it was the brightly colored veggies, very beautiful presentation. Brisket was good, I just prefer some sprinkled salt grains on mine since I love salt. The chili brisket I was expecting the chili to taste like brisket or have very small chunks of meat, but it was nicely filled with large chunks of brisket. It had a nice kick to it, and was really good value. The Mac and cheese surprised me, it had a hint of sweetness like sprinkled brown sugar on top and the bread crumbs was a nice taste and texture contrast to the saltiness & creaminess of the cheese and noodles. It was addicting and I really enjoyed the experience of eating it. The star was the cornbread, wow, I usually don't like cornbread because I've had my fair share of dry ones. But this one showed me why cornbread became a thing, it was so moist it was like cake. Service was so attentive. I remember when this place first opened, I tried it and to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement. Had completely written oink and moo off. The young lady who was working at the time did state that they were working kinks out and were looking for feedback. I gave my honest opinion about the food and she said that she'd let the owners know. Now most places don't take head to complaints. So I really had no intention on coming back, BUT BOY AM I GLAD I DID TRY IT AGAIN! This place went from being written off my list of bbq places to my top 2 in Jersey! Idk what happened between the first time and my second trip but the food was night and day. And these guys are cooking up top tier smoked meats. Ordered a baby back rib platter w burnt ends baked beans (my personal favorite) and cornbread. I’ve personally witnessed, tasted, and experienced the flavors of O n’ M for years starting w the first food truck. Josh and his BBQ team have been Smokin’ and BBQ’n for some time now. The baby back ribs are my favorite so of course I had to get my rib fix!
