We were there at around 11:30am. Ordered whole bunch of things including biryani breads appetizers, chicken and goat curry. Both the appetizers we ordered were just raw sauces with no taste. We thought it was too early so they might have accidentally used more sauce but the real worst part comes in with curry and naans/bread. We asked for chicken and goat curry with spicy, the chicken curry was sweet flavored mostly coconut flavored. The goat curry you can feel the curry is cold. And the naans were burned out. Asked why did you serve a burned one (reply was we will get another one) which we did but not so good again. Then we decided to leave with out eating much and went to pay, then we were suggested the biryani is good(recommended by cashier) so just wanted to give it a last try we ordered a to-go. We had a drive of 1hr 30mins back to our place by the time we reached and opened the food it started to smell like it’s spoiled. (Our guess:- it was not made fresh and in our journey of 1hr 30mins it was not kept in cooler that’s why it got spoiled you can see in the picture the rice Turing watery “phrase for spoiled food”) had to throw the whole food away. Only thing that tasted good are the cakes they had. For this experience we paid over 100$ and about 4-4:30 hrs of time to the restaurant and back home. Thank you...
Read moreI had an awesome experience with this restaurant. I live in Indianapolis and was looking for catering services for our baby shower.I wanted something different this time as everyone was expecting something they haven't tried before. I was told they have the best food in TN which is about 4 hours drive from my place. I wanted to try it for myself. I ordered for our baby shower, and I tell you it was worth the drive and the money. The food was really tasty especially the chicken manuchrian and biryani and gulab jamun. All of our guests were asking where did we ordered from? I was dealing with person name Keshav, my apologies if the spelling aren't correct. He was really helpful and went out of his way to make this experience memorable for me and my family. He opened his restaurant early for just my party because I had to pickup the food before the party. Him and his whole staff was just amazing. I have never dealt with services like this. Just totally awesome. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants the best services and best food. I will for sure ordered again for my son's birthday next month. Thank you for making this special day even more special for us. Thank you...

If you love suspense and enjoy a little gamble with your meal, this is the perfect spot. Ordering biryani here is like playing a mystery box game: Order goat biryani? You might get chicken. Expect flavorful masala? Sometimes you’ll just get slightly colored rice with scattered meat pieces. Love meat? Occasionally, you’ll get only bones with no meat around them. Like spice? Sometimes you’ll get so much masala, you’ll need to modify it yourself before eating.
Quantity and taste? Oh, that’s consistent too… consistent with the mood of whoever is in the kitchen that day. Remember, it’s all about vibes.
Pro tip: Adding special instructions is just a way to remind yourself that instructions don’t matter here. Customer preferences, requests, and respect? Not part of the recipe.
For Cafe India, biryani isn’t about a balance of rice, meat, and masala. Their philosophy seems to be: “If you put rice, color, meat or bones (masala optional) together, that’s biryani enough.”
If you’re lucky, you’ll catch them on a good day and get a decent plate. If not, well, at least you’ll have a funny...
