TONIGHT WAS MY FIRST TIME going to The Tin Roof at this location and was very excited that I didn’t have to make that drive to Nashville. Well that back fired QUICK. The BIG white guy who was the bouncer “sorry I don’t know his name he wouldn’t tell us” is ABSOLUTELY RUDE. For starters when we got there he “the bouncer” was KNOCKED OUT SLEEP on the bench. He woke up when he heard the door open since the music got louder. He asked for our IDs, and my friend showed him where he had renewed his ID he “the bouncer” said dude I have to have it in hand with your picture and name on it. So my friend had to go back to the hotel to get it “which I understand!” Now when my friend came back he showed him the PHYSICAL ID with his name and picture he said you can’t get in it’s expired and told him to leave. HOLD UP YOU KNEW IT WAS EXPIRED BEFORE HE LEFT AND SAID NOTHING ABOUT THAT. While still outside he started yelling at another woman for the same reason. Her ID was expired, but she showed him where she renewed it. To top it off her boyfriend got upset about him yelling at his girlfriend so they asked for a manager and he said there was NO Manger on duty for them to talk so they had to talk to him. My friend left and I went back inside with my cousins. We were still so upset about how he talked to my friend we had one drink and decided to leave. I told the bartender what happened before we left and he apologized but didn’t seem surprised. Before we left my cousin said to the bouncer that he needs to be clear and respectful with the people about the IDs so he wouldn’t have anymore problems. He sits there and says YOU NEED TO GO ON. IM DOING MY JOB and shewed her like she was a dog or something. HOLD UP!!! IF YOU ARE DOING YOUR JOB YOU NEED TO STAY WAKE! NOT DROOLING WHILE YOU ARE ON YOUR JOB, AND KNOW INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO GET IN. He is BEYOND disrespectful and rude and that place DOES NOT NEED SOMEONE LIKE HIM WORKING FOR THEM. I felt sooo embarrassed for even suggesting to go here to my cousins who flew in from Texas and wanted to have a good time. Now the service INSIDE was good and the bartenders were very nice, but that BOUNCER needs to get a reality check ASAP. From now on I will just take my business/ company to Nashville. It was definitely a...
Read moreI have been going for about three years. First two years were good, now based on several incidents I am not sure I will be going back. I saw them overcharge someone for drinks no one order and the bartender at the time joking about it. Haven't seen that BT there in a while. On another occasion they asked for me to pay for my drinks again when I came back a couple of weeks later. I paid thinking I was wrong and went home looked at my bank statement and found I did pay (keep your receipts). My friend paid for all of us over this past holiday and when I came back they said I didn't pay my tab. I paid again and what the bartender did was a little shocking. The BT rang up a no sale took my money put it on the counter not in the till, then shut the door. When I spoke to my friend he verified he paid the entire bill. This last one still has me amazed and took place two months ago same bartender - I ordered Jack on the rocks and they charged me for ice, this was a first. Obviously they do not want...
Read moreWe were just passing through on New Years Eve. To say the least, I was not impressed. There was a $20 cover each for me and my husband to just get in. They were pushy about using the ATM in their restaurant. We should have just left right then. It was 8pm. We just wanted to eat, but I found it to be a little early for a cover. But whatever, we paid $40 bucks and came in and stood at the bar- no stools at the bar (kinda weird) The bartenders were super nice. They told us there were some seats on the covered patio. The patio was a tin roof- hence the name of the restaurant, and there were clear plastic covers that blocked out the wind. They were allowing people to smoke in this area which I was not pleased with. I didnt want to eat breathing in smoke the entire time.
All this to say, they should ask if you just wanted to eat or if you are opening up a tab to drink all night. Without the cover, I might not have left...
