Edited on Valentines Day 2020 We enjoyed another great dining experience tonight and had the most attentive and knowledgeable server named Chelsea! She went above and beyond to make our special evening perfect! 32 Valentines Days under our belt, and this was the best one ever! Thank you, Chelsea!
Happy New Year! Best steak house in Nashville or Franklin! We didn’t make reservations, but got lucky with a 30 minute wait and spent it in the bar... happy hour until 7:00... 1/2 price wine, well liquor, and beer. Delicious Salmon Creek Pinot Grigio. The bar was fully stocked with lots of options at good prices. The interior ambience was cozy with dark ceiling beams, stone accents, and large windows. The windows were tinted and the room was warm, not drafty at all. Each table had a candle and there was plenty of room between tables so diners had privacy. Our dining room was quiet, mostly adults which we appreciated. Not that we don’t like children, but we do appreciate a quiet dinner on special occasions. Excellent dinner menu... the fried calamari that a neighboring table ordered smelled delicious! We opted to skip the appetizers in favor of the dessert menu. Because Connor’s is a steakhouse, we went with the 14oz. Ribeye steaks. My steak was medium rare and my husband’s was rare+. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and delicious! The black truffle butter topping was outstanding! Each dinner came with a salad and side. The house salad was fresh with green lettuce, tomatoes, toasted almonds, bacon, and cheese. The lettuce was cut into bite sizes; the ranch dressing was homemade and tasted like creamy buttermilk. The Caesar salad was made with fresh Romaine lettuce also cut to bite size and contained only the green portion. The croutons were homemade as was the dressing. Probably the best dinner salads we’ve had in a long time! I had the white cheddar cheese Mac-n-cheese which was creamy and topped with toasted bread crumbs. The baked potato was perfectly baked with the inside creamy like mashed potatoes. Our final course was the chocolate mousse cake. We shared a slice of this rich, decadent cake with layers of white and dark chocolate mousse. Our server, Michelle, was very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and friendly. We wanted to be sure to give her a huge thank you for her excellent service! We highly recommend Connor’s Steakhouse! We will definitely be back soon! If you are a Sperry’s fan, you should definitely give Connor’s a try! We...
Read moreTonight we went to celebrate my wife's birthday. This will most likely be our last visit. After being seated, our server took our drink order and asked if we would like a few minutes to look over the menu. About 10 minutes later he popped by and asked if we needed more time. We place our orders and waited. Quite a while later one of the runners brought our main courses and asked if we needed anything. We let them know soup and salads were never brought out.
Before we could lift our forks the manager stopped and asked if everything tasted great. It was quite obvious we hadn't started as they had just set the plates on the table. I let her know that we hadn't started and we never received our soup/salad. She spoke to our server and from what we could hear, he denied that we ordered them. That was the last we saw of the manager.
Now for the food. My wife had the halibut. It was so overcooked it didn't even flake. The oldest tried a chicken pasta dish and said it was tasteless and overcooked. The youngest had filet and ordered it medium rare. There was barely and pink at all, overcooked but edible. I had the ribeye "14oz, well marbled, heavily aged". There's a large difference in heavily marbled and well aged vs large veins of fat and gristle. This was mostly inedible, 5 ounces at the most was chewable.
We tried making eye contact with the manager but gave up trying after she wouldn't even make eye contact on multiple passes
Then we get to dessert. The server dropped off the little birthday cake with 4 spoons, said enjoy and left. I finally caught him and asked for a dessert menu since there were 4 of us. We ordered a creme brulee and over the course of 20 minutes (we actually timed them) we were assured that he had seen them making it and it would be right out. it finally arrived, not caramelized, but dark black in places from being burned so bad. We took 2 bites and left it in the table.
This was supposed to be a celebration. We still enjoyed ourselves, paid, tipped well... and left.
We have been before and it was wonderful. This was as far from...
Read moreFirst and last visit. Started out good, ordered 2 apps, soup and salads. All good. Server was very good, no complaints. For mains we ordered for steaks, 3 filets and one NY strip. All med rare. 2 filets came out med rare. I worked as a server through college and have never sent back a steak in my life. My prime upcharge filet that I ordered med rare came out more than well done, completely grey and dry. I was not going to say anything but our server who was great saw it when I cut in to it for the first bite and said to send it back. I had 2 sides, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Both were cold to room temp on first attempt. Waited 20 mins, new steak comes out with new sides. Cut in to 2nd steak with new server watching, it was well done again. She even commented how she could not believe they managed to way overcook the 2nd steak. She took it back, I took a bite of the 2 new sides, both same room temp to cold. Waited another 15 mins and 3rd steak came out at med rare. Had new sides again and same thing, room temp to cold. To give the restaurant credit they removed the 2 steaks from the bill and our server was excellent. Left her a 30% tip because none of the problems were her fault. However, it was my wife's bday so between having to wait for one steak to get redone once and the other 2 times it was not a good experience. I have worked as a waiter and felt bad for our server. She did everything right and back of the house kept messing things up. I know you get a lot of whiners that complain over small things but again, I have never sent a meal back in my life until today. If management is reading this, you need to hire competent chefs/cooks because your front of house is great, but back of house ruined our dinner and we will...
