As much as the pizza (had it come out on time and at least warm, but even cold hours later it managed to be good) warrants 5 stars the service and appetizers do not.
I will applaud them for the social distancing measures and precautions which is prominent in determining where you dine these days.
I like to state the positive before i have to delve into the negative. The waitress was friendly however she was not very attentive to our table. She did spend quite a bit of time at other tables just not ours. For this visit it was dine in appetizers were ordered at the same time as our pizza. The appetizers were brought out, they were not hot or even warm i would say it was room temp, so they weren't particularly appetizing. We still didn't raise a fuss, sometimes apps are hit and miss the real prize was the pizza (which lets just be honest they excel at). We waited on our pizza which was no where in sight. We continued to wait about 20 more minutes with no check in from the waitress nor had we seen even a glimpse of our pizza. This continued as time ticked on until finally i flagged down another waiter and asked that he find our waitress so i could tell her to make the remaining item to go and bring the bill.
After being asked to bring our bill and the pizza to go she appeared with pizza in hand to explain it had been made as a to go order and it had just been sitting in the heater. This didn't make me feel any better about why i had to sit and wait for something that otherwise would have never came i guess. But you know to add a little insult and salt she stated she was unaware and that's what had taken so long.
IDK maybe had she actually manned our table she would have noticed our main course had not arrived, perhaps that would have prompted her to check. Funny thing is had she been attentive to more that one table maybe she would have known. Maybe or maybe not the world will never know because that's not how things went down (shrugs).
Now you may wonder why write all this if i eventually got my order; because service matters. Regardless of nice staff, clean establishments and following the rules in a COVID world we still lacked one of the primary reasons to eat there ... which was eating, the food... given food can be cold that is fine ... I can let that slide, but to be forgotten and ignored that is another, compiled with the subpar appetizers, you only get so many strikes. Could i have complained there yes, did i, no. Why would i they were fully aware of the error/issue, politely explained it to me (how else would i know) and the offered no resolution to fix it other than a bland apology; by the waitress not even management. What would complaining have done at a point when i was ready to go.
So for this reason i will not frequent CPK again at least not this location. I could be more forgiving if it were a packed house but with the limited amount of patrons allowed in the establishment to start its hard to ignore such blatant lack of customer service. I paid for my meal (tipped the waitress - because i'm not a monster) and took my...

Read moreI came to your restaurant, around at 6:30 PM, and asked if I have tables for 2. Girl standing at reception took my name and number and said it's about 30 mins wait. I waited more than 30 mins, when I came back to ask if now seat is available, she said she called my number about 10 mins ago, and someone answered the call, and said he is coming, and she showed me the my number which was wrong, she argued with me that it's not her mistake, I gave her the wrong number, which I have never done in life, and she said someone in the wrong number answered the call, and said he is coming. She denied to give me the table after waiting around 45 mins. She said that I have to wait another 45 mins or indefinitely more to get the table. After waiting hungry for 45 mins, I was asked again to wait another 45 mins. I don't know what kind of service they are providing, making customer double wait. Just because of this, I had fight with my friend and my friend is not talking to me at all. First question is how come the person with my same number just difference is 615 instead of 617 was coming to your restaurant to dine at the same time as me? Second question how come he booked the table exactly for 2 people I booked? Is it that someone was following me and wanted take my table? And he has the same number as mine except one digit different? Third, is it appropriate response to the customer, raising both the hands up, and say can't do anything, you can go now? Is this California Pizza Kitchen Standard? Girl in reception said everyone else gets the table then you will get, that also only if available. Is it that I was looking like a begger and begging for food?
Just because of this treatment at your restaurant, and I didn't want to be rude with the girl in reception, I had big fight with my friend, she is not even talking to me since yesterday, jst because she felt so embarrassed, and I didn't argue or say anything to receptionist. Is there any pay back to me for this experience?...
