Have been eating here since high school (and have been out for over 15 years!) Most experiences have been great with decent food when eating in, however the to go service is one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
Called in to order ahead and was put on hold. Waited 5 minutes and finally hung up as was at restaurant. Ordered 3X 3 Soft Taco Meals (Yea..that simple) and was told would be a 20 minute wait. No problem since it was busy, sat inside and waited. Togo orders were coming out and being sat on the table behind the "hostess", but no attempt at getting them out to people. After 20 minutes asked her about the food..."oh here it is, it just came out". Asked about chips as we got 1/2 bag for 3 meals whereas we've always gotten one per each meal. Simple response of "we have to charge you extra for that". Extra to get food that is supposed to be included in what you order....yea.
Check food prior to leaving and find out food is cold. Speak to the other hostess tell her the food is cold and am replied with "what do you want me to do about that". At this point asked if she was a manager, "No". "Okay, let me speak to the manager". "Uh. Okay.". Told manager what was going on with cold food, sitting behind hostesses, half portions, etc and she had the food remade so it was hot when we got it and threw in 4 bags of chips.
The manager did a great job, however these hostess have to be some of the worst people to have representing your business to the public. One should be cashing the customers out instead of "multitasking". The line of customers who were ready to pay was back into the dining room. The hostess who kept setting to go orders on the bar should announce what the order is since many of us were waiting for our orders next to each other.
Interestingly while waiting, someone else had pointed out getting cold to go food is fairly common and that if I get it often I'll learn to use the microwave.
Tip: Because of the "1 order of chips per order" policy, I suggest ordering your meals separately and paying for each one individually. Stupid as it costs the restaurant more to process the credit card, but hey do what...
Read moreThis place has had a serious decline in quality of food since I moved here in 2018. Really good when I first moved here. Then, with each visit over I would say 8 months or so.....it has just gone down, down, down.
Our last visit was by far the worst experience with them, with Mexican food and customer service all wrapped up in one.
We were seated quickly, then proceeded to sit, sit and sit some more. No one got our drink order or brought the chips to our table. I kid you not...10 minutes go by before any of the waiters stopped by our table to get or orders. Still no chips about 20 minutes. our drinks make it to the table and finally we get chips. Then we sat some more and our food order was taken. It took so long we were starting to consider leaving with out our food. We never got a refill of chips and pretty much none of the waiters glanced in our general direction. Our food arrived after we started chatting up the two tables near us, to discover they too were unhappy about the wait, the service and one of them told us their food was horrible. My plate was hot but my food was not...Chef Mic(rowave) maybe.....? Greasy to the point of making my stomach lurch, I only managed to get down half of one of the flautas that came on my dish. Soggy and greasy, I never touched the second one nor much else on the plate. My daughter had 3 soft tacos and she had bones in hers. Our waiter never inquired about our lack of eating. Just took up the dishes and disappeared. We finally had to walk up to the register to get our ticket. We were never asked if we...
Read moreI used to enjoy coming here years ago when it was called Mi Pueblo but a lot has changed since then. The quality of food here has definitely fallen and the prices have risen. I'm really surprised they get as much business as they do. I always order the shredded chicken nachos which used to be a nice full plate of chips with huge chunks of chicken with peppers drenched in queso cheese sauce. Not super healthy but delicious and worth the price. Now I order the same thing and I barely get half the nachos, hardly any chicken, and the cheese sauce is basically non existent. This has happened a few times. And the flavor the dish used to have has disappeared. The same thing has happened with their salsa, it used to have flavor and now tastes so bland like a can of diced tomatoes dumped into a bowl. I can honestly say for the price you spend for two to eat just save your money and make the same food better quality for cheaper at home or drive up north to Margeritas in Greenwood. The quality of food is so much better for pretty much the same price. As for the wait staff they are friendly but don't expect them to bring you your check in a...
