Person taking orders on the phone was VERY difficult to understand...her Chinese accent was very prominent...so we had many challenges trying to communicate, although she seemed to understand English far better than she could speak it.
The food we got was very bland. Hubby had shrimp lo mein and I had vegetable fried rice. Found a piece of plastic in the fried rice which was not confidence inducing. Won ton soup was adequate but nothing special. The pork and shrimp egg rolls were pretty good.
But the best thing about this dining experience was the high entertainment factor of what I saw when I walked into the restaurant. I swear I had stepped right into China when I walked through the door of that restaurant. The front counter is completely buttoned up in plastic from the top of the counter to the ceiling. There is a hinged plastic door cut into the plastic barrier which can only be opened from the side of the employee, which they use to pass the bag of food through. At the other end of the counter there is another opening cut into the plastic which is filled with a plastic shoe box type of container with a lid. The lid is scored in the middle so the customer can lift the lid, place this money in the box, then the employee on the other side of the barrier can lift the other side of the lid and remove the money from the box. The whole arrangement was quite a sight.
So I would say that for those of you who are still afraid of covid this is the place for you.
If you are completely over this pandemic, as I am, then you should go there for the entertainment factor and see this elaborate barrier at the front counter.
If, however, you care what your Chinese food tastes like, you can skip this place and you won't be missing out on any...
Read moreAVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! The lady thats at the register is rude and a liar. I made a simple order, chicken and broccoli combo with no vegetables in the rice ( I order from them on DoorDash the same way) She acted like she was taking my order, turns and makes a remark. So me having three children and thinking she was talking to me is said “ I’m sorry what was that” she turns, sees my red debit card and says Only cash. I’m like well no signs anywhere, I see the system so why not. She said it was down. Along comes another customer who placed a phone order and enters mid convo and says she doesn’t have cash and was never told over the phone it was cash only. So me and the customer wait a bit because the lady behind the counter is staring at us, and walk out. 5 mins kid you not she calls the other customer saying “her card system works to come in”. So we walk in and they take the other customers payment and STILL WONT MAKE MINE. Legit said my simple one combo order the same way 100 times. I didn’t even make an order for 6. Any who, I walked out with no food. Some battles just aren’t worth fighting for. I’ll never order again through DoorDash or walk in. Check out FB and TikTok for the video related to this review. Read moreThis place was great, I really liked the pork fried rice and the General Tso's chicken. Lunch prices are great, under $6 per plate, and me and my husband left full. We also each added a pork egg roll for about $1.50 which was fresh and very hot. We are both contractors and we work all over the Indianapolis area, So we have tried several different chinese places like this. Ive had several places that I did not like but this one might just be in my top 5. That being said it is a typical chinese place, with typical entres and prices. But it was very fresh and seasoned well. I...
