Decided to go check out sams club today to see what the fuss was about... The lady at the front talked me into getting the plus membership.. They gave me a $45 gift card with my membership. The 2 women up front were extremely friendly and very personable. I spent some time walking around, comparing prices. Lots of good stuff in there and I am super happy with my new membership. The cashier was friendly, and the other customers were also on a whole different level of friendliness as well! After buying over a hundred dollars worth of various foods and clothes, my son and I stopped at the little food station thing and wow I am still blown away at the prices of their food/drinks! Cost me $3.62 for a large raspberry tea, an all beef hot dog, a blue raspberry icee, and a chocolate frozen yogurt (even though i said vanilla twice)! What a deal! And the hot dog was not only all beef but it was like one of those real big ones, so I really feel like it was a great value, and the quality / quantity were fantastic! The lady who worked the food station was so nice that I didn't have the heart to remind her I wanted vanilla frozen yogurt and not chocolate, lol..i just smiled and said "thank you have a great day!" Read morePicked insulin up today while doing the grocery shopping at the Tarentum store. Left it in the cart. Got home unloaded all the groceries and realized it was missing. Husband called and asked if it was turned in. Customer service said it wasn't and asked the cart person or people to look for it and for him to call back in a half hour. I had returned the cart to area they load at the store. So I jumped into the car and drove back to the store. The guy that was loading carts when I left was still there. Turns out his name is Nick Santelli (I may have misspelled it-sorry) had taken the time to actually look for it. Out of his busy time and working in the rain, I'm sure the last thing he wanted to do is look for something some customer left behind. But, he did and he found it! I am so appreciative of his kindness to a stranger. We need more people like this to make the world better. After the week I had I figured it was the icing on my cake. Read moreExtremely disappointed with the customer service at this Sam's Club location. The employees were rude, unhelpful, and acted like they didn't want to be bothered. I needed help at checkout but nobody was there to assist. I waited over 15 minutes for help. There’s no point to the self checkouts they’re just decorative. One associate came preying on me for some promotion rather than help with what I needed. This is a recurring issue. If you forget your physical cards, no point in stepping foot in this store. No one smiled, no one offered help, and most acted like customers were an annoyance. For a membership-based store, you'd think service would be a priority. Sadly, that's not the case here. Do better, Sam's Club. Your customers deserve at least basic respect.
