We used to Love Bob Evans but it has continually declined in all aspects of dining experience over the last 5 plus years. We don't go very often but had received a gift card and thought we would try again. The Waitress, though nice, was not familiar with the menu (apologizing saying that it was a "new" menu and she wasn't familiar with it). My husband ordered Classic Breakfast Two hotcakes or one slice of Brioche French toast or two biscuits. Served with two eggs cooked-to-order and choice of breakfast meat. I ordered Cobb Salad with some changes. She asked what kind of bread and I asked for Bisquit and he asked for banana bread. His meal arrived with a spoon full of eggs and sausage. He asked about his pancakes and she said he got banana bread instead so he didn't get pancakes???? I showed her the menu item and she apologized but he had already eaten but they insisted on making him pancakes as well. In addition, I had to the counter to ask for jam for the biscuits which were cold and dry. They said they don't offer jam anymore unless you ask because kids play with them??? It took 3 requests for me to get cheese which was supposed to go on my salad. It was a terrible experience and the food was close to Awful!! Bob Evans used to be soooo good. Really really sad experience. Interesting enough I received a questionnaire from Bob Evans last week which was very lengthy but I filled it out completely but I don't think there is any hope for Bob Evans. I was nice but did tell the manager (who asked how our dinner was) so I told him (politely) He apologized and said that he would refund part of our money at the register well he turned away and never looked at us at all at the register. It bothers me so to see all the establishments in the US go so far downhill. Seems to be more the norm now. Won't be back -...
Read moreI usually never leave reviews, but this is ridiculous. I went here with my family on my way home from vacation. My sister was the only person who enjoyed the food with no issues, but my mom in general didn't like her food, and dad and I both ordered chicken tenders and fries, but we both got DOUBLE FRIES. I got a bunch of fries, and my dad had a couple. We told our waitress, who was French and had gray hair (didn't have a name tag, but the reciept said Amanda I'm almost positive), and was told, "Yeah, that's double fries, but I'll get you some more." If we ordered the same thing and I have a stack, while my dad has a tiny bit, it's clearly wrong. She comes back with around 7 fries and says, "Here ya go." I wish I was exaggerating, but it was literally 7-9 fries. My dad doesn't complain, so he just lets it go. The chicken was hard to even chew through and wasn't even good, so he just ate a bunch of bread. He goes to the bathroom, and she gives us extra fries for me, not even my dad, and extra bread only to bring our check higher without even telling us just to get a better tip. We didn't know that until after we paid, though. She watches us pay to figure out how much we tip, which was $5 because the service sucked while ignoring other people who were waiting for her to get their food. She follows us back to the table and asks him how the service is, to which he replies "good" because what else is gonna say, and then she mutters something French under her breath and walks away. If it's not clear, she called him some type of curse word in French. Unacceptable, and she shouldn't be...
Read morewe decided to dine in at bob evans for breakfast. upon entering we were quickly sat in lisa’s section. her greeting for us was “what are we drinking”, no good morning, no true introduction. as a server myself, i do completely understand having a bad day/ being down for a bit, but to my surprise we were the only table being treated this way from lisa. the other two tables she had were being treated very kindly and got a true introduction from her and she acted very kind towards them, but when it came to us she was very cold and continued to attempt to run off before we could finish ordering our drinks and food. in my bacon i found a hair, and again as a server i do understand this happens, and i usually let a manager handle this to guarantee customer satisfaction. however, when i informed lisa of this she grabbed my plate with the hair on it and asked what i wanted instead. she didn’t apologize, no manager was sent out, and no discount was given. i wasn’t looking for a discount but it didn’t seem fair to pay for the whole meal when i couldn’t finish it all because of someone’s hair in my food. the food itself was good, but the service we received from lisa this morning (4/7) was not. if her service did not change from each of her tables i would have understood and left it there, but seeing she was capable of better service and continued to choose not to give it to us...
