Caroline was the first home baker I ever ordered from and she made my experience extraordinary. She approaches you with genuine kindness, professionalism and gratitude. She is so involved in the order process, from taking the initial order to graciously responding/reacting to her followers Instagram posts! Her macarons are works of art. She has so many amazing staple flavors to her menu but also drops fun flavors like her cereal line (which I absolutely loved.) The character macarons she makes are always insanely adorable! The technique in all her bakes is always clean cut and dare I say, perfect?! Her minimalist style mixed with her beautiful personable touches is what makes Sweets by Caroline truly special. When I was searching for wedding cake inspirations, I stumbled upon a Chinese themed cake that looked so so pretty with its Blue and white porcelain print. I took a peek at the bake shop and low and behold, they were in the dmv area!

Caroline was amazing to work with. When I reached out, she suggested the cake tasting box that would help me decide what flavors I wanted for the cream and the filing inside and I fell in love with the strawberry and yuzu filling which exactly what I got for my wedding cake: 2 layers of vanilla with yuzu curd and 1 layer of vanilla with fresh strawberry, specifically less sweet (I'm not a big sweets fan and so I wanted the cake to also be a little less sweet).

Sweets by Caroline was a life savor when it came to my wedding this past October. I reached out to her 3 weeks before my wedding in a pinch after another vendor fell through for our favors. Caroline was super responsive and willing to make our Ube Flan Macaron favors (with a custom label), which was only on her menu during AAPI Heritage Month. She was so great to work with and even delivered the macarons to the reception venue. Our guests & vendors raved about how delicious the macarons were and my husband and I were able to save a few for ourselves. They were the perfect post wedding snack!
