Masser Toll House Inn — Restaurant in Frederick

Really MAD at myself been by this place over a hundred times. And for one reason or another already ate was going somewhere else or late I’ve never stopped . Well that stops tonight just left some friends and I was hungry so I STOPPED . Will be coming back for sure sorry No pictures looked to good and I forgot . CASH ONLY.

Well hate to do it but today was the 3rd n last time I will be going back. 1st time pork chops were awesome 2nd time they were smaller but acceptable this time they were too thin and hard to cut them mostly fat. I asked the waitress what happened you said they were still thick and look at all the fat. She asked if I still wanted it. I said yes I’ve been waiting 10 minutes and I’m hungry. Well I should’ve just left. They were overcooked and then I ended up getting like a 2 inch round piece of meat out of each one so unfortunately I won’t be going back.. she said you want to talk to the chef no it’s I won’t be back. sad I thought I found a good diner when I go to Frederick to help some elderly people I know I’ll keep looking. when she finally brought me my food I ordered coleslaw and cucumber salad. She brought me sauerkraut and greens. I asked for unsweet tea. She brought me sweet tea. I guess she was just...

Do not let the reviews fool you, this is the absolute worst place I've sat down to eat. When you walk through the doors you are greeted by the smell of cigarettes, and a old cigarette dispenser. The booths are hard and the padding is coming off. The cups are probably as old as the place is, you can tell by how chipped and fogy they look. I honestly don't mind drinking from the cup but the condition they were in made me feel sick. Server ignored us when we asked for straws twice before she payed us attention. We were the newbys so I can understand that locals only matter to them, as per the reviews. Food was hot but completely bland. No seasonings at all whatsoever I loaded my plate with salt and pepper. All in all I will never be returning to this place, it was like being in a horror movie. I couldn't wait to leave. Thinking back on it now I probably should have but I was hungry and wanted to see how the chip beef was. Oh and it's CASH ONLY. The server didn't let us know until we noticed at the very end of the meal the small sign covered by decoration. We thought it was an old sign that's why we asked our server. The locals are keeping this place alive but not sure how long the building will be standing before customers...

Went to Masser Toll House Inn on Thursday, November 11, 2021. We were there years ago and now I know why we never went back. It hasn't changed. The food was pricey for a little give place and really wasn't all that good. My wife and I each had a cup of soup. She had Turkey Rice with no rice and I had weaken down Chili. She had a Cheeseburger Slider and I had a Texas Weiner that was served with the roll but the roll wasn't split and the Weiner was laying on top. I even asked and paid extra for the Texas Weiner but it was barely any onions on it. In the background there was I assume an owner because she certainly was complaining about the customer's complaining. She thought that everyone's first job should be working at a Restaurant and then maybe they would understand how hard they work and what they go through. Anyhow our bill came to a little over $18.00. We won't be back. The only reason we went this time again was because people told us how good it was, but it wasn't. I certainly don't know where their taste buds were. The owner/waitress loud talking in the background was a turn off. Maybe she needs to be a customer first before working or owning...
