Mon Bon Croissant Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Frederick

I've been there 3 times during their soft opening. The first day I went was their Day 2, and they had sold out of all their baked goods well before my mid-afternoon visit. I enjoyed the coffee and the airy, light, spacious cafe. Next time, my daughter and I got cookies, coffee, and chai tea. All delicious! The 3rd time, I bought a cappuccino & almond croissants to take home for the next day's breakfast. They were huge croissants with lots of filling and tasted great even being a day old. Saturday morning. Pastry cases were mostly empty. There were only 5 different pastry items to choose from. Danish or a few different stuffed croissants. The espresso machine has apparently been broken since Monday. The "chocolate danish" was not fully baked. Nearly raw on the bottom. Had a lot of chocolate inside so that gets 1 star. The space to sit is nice so that's the other star. Maybe they will improve things as time goes by, but I definitely do not...

I had high hopes for this cafe. The previous cafe had the best croissants and I crave then ham & cheese to this day. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't really sell "fresh" croissants here. Whether they are baked the same day, but the time I got to it, it had been sitting in the fridge and was cold. Please rethink putting fresh croissants into the fridge display. Hoping to try it again in the coming weeks and see...
