To begin with, I would like to establish that I am a huge fan of Subway Restaurants in general. In the Frederick area, I am especially fond of the Myersville and Middletown locations because I have always received exceptional service from the staff there.
That being said, I am extremely disappointed with the Thomas Johnson Drive location. Every employee there seems to hate their lives and it is VERY evident that they do not care about their jobs. I typically walk in and watch as an employee sees me and proceeds to take his or her sweet time to get behind the counter and ask what I want. They rarely even speak, actually, but rather look at me pointedly until I understand they are waiting on me to say something. This may also have something to do with a certain difficulty with English they all seem to have, because I've had trouble communicating my order with them on a number of occasions. I believe the training process for this location is also extremely lacking because, when I ask questions not directly related to the ingredients of the sandwich itself (ex: advance preparation for large orders, paying over the phone, etc.), they stare at me blankly at a loss for what to do. The sandwiches themselves are made very sloppily, sometimes with so much sauce added that it is almost inedible.
In summation, I believe Subway Restaurants has dropped the ball on the hiring process for this particular location. I strongly encourage anyone in the Frederick area to go out of their way to find another location nearby, if necessary, because they will be unsatisfied if they choose...

To make it more interesting, the girl (only person there) took die we to come out of the back room a s barely could get any words out - it was not a language barrier, I truly feel she was not completely in-tune (for lack of better words) to anything around her. How dare they make fun of & make faces to each other, over this man and how he was acting and the fact the man wanted just a blank gift card, because he collected them (per his aid).
