While the cause of my frustration with this location aren’t 100% the stores responsibility, how they addressed it was. The mobile order feature had not been turned off for this location, and the lobby was closed. When I arrived to pickup my order the doors were locked, no signing stating how to pick up your order, and when an employee came to the door after the noticed I was standing there trying to flag someone down they informed me that I need to get in the drive thru line to pickup my mobile order that had already been paid for.
Now in some instances, this may not be super inconvenient but at this particular time the drive thru line was wrapped around the location. Drivers not in the most organized fashion, and from previous experiences when a drive thru line is this long I’d be waiting at least 30 mins. I asked the employee if there was a way to cancel my order (presuming this could be done via the app) and she said yes, but she’d need to get the manager.
The manager came asked for my name, then proceeded to tell me they needed me to get my gift card number, and write down the gift card number to process the refund. While I’m sure this was a system issue, I asked if he could just get my order for the amount of time this would take, he informed me they actually weren’t making mobile orders in advance for pickup and are waiting until people get to the window to start making it; maybe this contributes to the extremely long drive thru line. I asked if it could be made for me, he never answered my question, finished writing the gift card number down and walked back inside.
I received my refund, but honestly for the amount of time it took to get all the info to process my refund my drinks could have been made twice. I get it’s not the locations fault that the mobile order system accepted my order (I’m assuming this is corporate controlled), but the fact they are aware of the mobile orders being accepted, haven’t delivered a workaround of a table at the entrance where the drinks would be set as other Sbux locations have, and the lack of desire to turn the inconvenience into an apology and just making the drinks already paid for instead of a 10-15 min long refund process is just subpar...
Read moreI usually do not have a problem at this location when I go through drive through but I feel after the circumstances of yesterdays experience It warrants a not so great review. I went inside because the drive through was too long, ordered my 1 Frappuccino, waited over 10 minutes for it as they were very busy, I understood this. The two guys that had ordered a head of me had gotten their drinks and was well gone before I got my drink and I had to ask if they were working on mine, I was polite and not rude, just asking a question as I had been waiting over 10 minutes the response from one of the employees was "I am now, we are very busy." I finally got my drink and it was not the correct Frapp, not their fault, the cashier did not understand me and rung it wrong. I said something to them and asked for a remake of what I actually ordered. Meanwhile drive through is building, people are coming in and mobile orders are coming in. I get it it was busy, waited almost another 15 minutes for the remake. I simply asked one of the other employees again asked not upset or rude just asked if they were working on my remake, I was met with "he is making it now, we are busy, you're patience would go along way." Please do not speak to me like a child especially when I was in the store almost a half hour waiting for 1 drink. Do not appreciate the attitude when 1 I am a customer 2 the prices you pay for Starbucks in and of itself. I could see it was busy, I am not stupid, the problem I had was people that had ordered way after me were getting their drinks, mobile orders were being made, drive through exc, I was waiting on a remake that should have been priority. I get that since mobile orders became a thing during COVID it does not help and employees are trying to manage all angles, this is not on them but on Cooperate, I get it but it was simply the attitude and lack of respect for someone that had been waiting almost 30 minutes I have a problem with. The lady in charge of the inside register was no where to be found but then she popped out after a few minutes which is fine it’s early and she apologized but after I proceeded to order she continued to not hear what I was ordering I corrected her a few times I wanted the vanilla sugar free protein latte and pumpkin cold foam protein. I got a reg sugar free vanilla latte with the cold foam which fine it’s good drink and I don’t want to try to order again but what really made me write this is the extremely two rude drive through employees.
