We used to come here fairly often so we decided to go here after celebrating my three-year-old‘s birthday party. I always get a baked potato when I go. The waitress did not seem interested in taking our order and was busy cleaning another table while talking to me about what I wanted on my baked potato. My three-year-old eats french fries everywhere but refused to touch the french fries because they were old and stale. I ended up only eating some of the baked potato because it was also old and had been sitting for a while and they did not refill the teriyaki chicken until we were almost ready to leave. I explained to the server that I needed my meal refunded because I did not eat anything but the baked potato and it was not fresh. She did not seem happy about it, and said she would see what she could do, then she came back 10 minutes later and threw the check on the table with the meal removed. My entire party at the table all expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the food was old and stale, and we ended up just leaving. I was writing a survey on the back of the check and when the waitress saw me writing the survey, she kept eyeing me and asked at least four or five times each time she walked past if we were OK when she didn’t do that when we first came in or any of the time that we were there before she saw me writing. Before we left, even though the Waitress was rude. I still left her a tip because I used to be a server and I know that tips are important, my six-year-old told her he rated the food a 10 out of 10. His taste is not very discerning so he may not be the best judge of the quality of the food. The waitress responded to him rudely looking at me “well, I don’t think your mother felt the same way”. When I paid the check, I told the person at the front counter and she apologized and genuinely seemed sorry that we did not have a good meal and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, who was busy flirting with someone at the front counter, I declined to speak to him and told her I would call later. When I called and explain to him about our experience compared to our previous experiences, his Response to me was “well you’re six-year-old liked it”. I explained to him that I paid for the meal not my 6 year old and it was not a good meal. The food was not fresh. He continued to make excuses saying that they were busy and the food was coming out on a regular basis when I sat there for over 20 minutes waiting for teriyaki chicken to come out and it never did. Even the cake was stale. He did not seem like he even cared that we did not have a good experience, but told me that I could come back and ask for Bruce and he would comp our meal. I told him don’t even worry about it, we will never be back. The one in Manassas is 1000 times better with service quality of food and cleanliness. Don’t go here if you don’t wanna waste your money. People work hard for their money and when you have a family of more than five going out to eat can be quite expensive so when someone gives you an attitude or acts like you’re not entitled to tell them if something is not up to par when you are spending your hard earned money it is very disheartening. They do not have to ever worry about getting my...
Read moreThis is an American flag themed buffet located in a Walmart parking lot and you will have exactly the experience that makes sense in that context.
I gave it 3 stars because those are the ones I read. It deserves lower and the 5 star reviews are clearly fake. No one is calling this place "on point" or telling you to do yourself a favor and come here.
The man who is the love of my life brought me to this place and while I'm not going to leave him, he will be hearing about this decision for a long time.
First of all. We surmised they don't get truck deliveries here and probably just grab a bunch of prepackaged stuff from Walmart once a week. I'm not joking. The Mac and cheese was clearly out of a kraft box without even the pretext of sprinkling some bread crumbs on top. 7-11 quality frozen pizza. Hot dogs (buns left in the package so you can reach your hands in there to get one after the last people did), tacos that taco bell wouldn't sell. Just...truly about what you would get if you made all the meal kits in your pantry at once and then left it out for 4 hours. The meats were either doused in salt or totally lacking it and there are no utensils for you to cut yourself a slice of things like the ham or roast beef and good luck getting the staffs attention. As long as there is one shriveled dry slice sitting out under the heat lamps it's not empty and they're not going to spontaneously cut any new ones.
I want to be very clear, I eat a lot of garbage. I often enjoy it. I, as a grown woman, patronize fast food way more than I should and grew up on kraft macaroni with ketchup on it. It takes a lot to surprise and disappoint me, but gosh darn it here we are.
I've had food that was bad before, but what was so striking was the overwhelming feeling that the owners are suffering from some sort of clinical depression. There's a very "why even try" vibe hanging over this place to the point I couldn't even feel mad because clearly someone is going through something for this to be even possible.
Also, that 7-11 frozen pizza I was talking about? It's on the desert bar because of course it is, why not?
Anywho... Just thought I'd give...
Read moreFor us this place is now classified as the trough. If you want to just put your head in and devour unlimited amounts of nasty, this is the spot. My wife and I haven't been in here for many years and after looking at the recent reviews we gave it a try. Over 55 discount prior to 4 PM.
A lot of the hot foods were cold even though they were on the steamer line. How do you do that? The fish was extra salty. Cold slaw was inedible and tasted like it was spoiled. The small roma tomatoes were very red but hard as a marble. The fried chicken thigh I got was not cooked completely and showed actual blood vessels near the bone. It's easier to list the apple pie, baked beans, and sweet potato mush as the items that were good. Scratch this one off.
*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of the check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees but no one cares about the waiter/waitress names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.
