Kokee Tea - Fredericksburg — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

My daughter and I went to this establishment a few hours ago today. We were the only people in the store, and my daughter was asking a few questions about the boba. Originally talking to the cashier, my daughter said she didn't want Boba in her drink. We were still going to order macaroons and were looking in the display case, we had not paid for our order at this point, and my daughter decided she wanted the Boba in her drink. The girl at the register, Annie, turned around to the other girl working there and they both rolled her eyes at each other, muttered something under their breath, then she turned back around to me and said "fine, we can probably do that".

At that point, I told them to please cancel our order, and we left the store. I went back in a few moments later, and that's when I found out the cashier girl's name was Annie, (I'm not sure the other girl's name, only that she has dark brown hair because she wouldn't speak to me.) I told them that they were rude for the way they conducted themselves, and I got a condescending "Sorry, we were just trying to get ahead of your order."

This makes no sense, we only ordered one drink, and there was nobody else in the store, I don't understand the rush or unprofessional rudeness. I understand that my daughter changed her order halfway through ordering it, but we hadn't even completed the transaction yet, so them starting to make her drink falls on the business, not the customer. There was no reason to "try to get ahead" of our order when we were still in the middle of ordering one drink. I'm really not comfortable spending $7 on a drink when the teenagers making it can't even get eye contact with you or do basic...

I recently came here for the first time with my sister. We both ordered a specialty drink. I ordered the Orange Sangria with Grapefruit flavor and Crystal Boba. My sister ordered the Dragon and Rose, also with Crystal Boba. Both drinks were delicious. My sister's was fruity without being overbearing. Mine was sweet and citrusy which was perfect for me. The Crystal Boba's paired well with my drink and I believe I would order it again. I plan on coming back to also try some of the other drink options.

Customer service was neither disappointing or astounding. I believe we came in during a quiet day for the business as only one employee was working, but he got our drinks...

My oldest asked for Boba tea which was something she hadn't had in a while. We decided to give this place a go, as we've driven past it many times on our way to Chickfila. We got there shortly after it opened. When we originally got there, the employee noticed children were present and switched the music to kids bop 😅 She was very friendly and patient with all three of my kiddos.
