Amazing staff, but sadly some poor corporate standards for food.
It was my birthday and I wanted to try a new place with my wife and kids. And since Farellis had good reviews, I thought I would go.
I was craving something Fatty and Savory, so I ordered a Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. It had chicken, all the veggies, ranch base. The pizza tasted good. However they're was only a tiny sliver about 5mm wide and 15 mm long on each slice of my 12 inch pizza.
They had literally taken a single small slice of bacon cut into tiny pieces and put one single sliver on most of the slices. 2 of the slices didn't even have bacon.
I don't normally make complaints, but when I order a chicken bacon pizza, I do expect to have bacon on all the slices and more than a sliver per slice. I have never ordered a pizza with bacon that had so little bacon.
Luckily I asked the waitress if it was at all possible to get a little bit of bacon for the pizza so that I could at least have a sliver for the pizzas with no bacon. She said that the amount there on my pizza was up to the standard set by corporate. But she understood my concern about how some of the pieces didn't even have bacon.
She did ask the kitchen to make 2 slices and cut them up so I could put it on the pizza. And honestly it was great after that. I really appreciated her understanding my possibly petty concern.
Besides that, the red rod the experience was great. My wife loved her pizza and Mac and Cheese. The kids loved their meals, and playing with the dough balls and drawing with crayons. We played a few arcade games in the back and won some candy from the candy crane.
I would come back again, but now I know that I shouldn't order anything with bacon since the corporate portions set are insanely stingy. Which is sad because bacon bought in bulk come out to maybe $0.10 for a piece of bacon. No need to get greedy when a 12 inch pizza...

The pricing has gotten far to ambitious for an eatery of its kind in our neighborhood. No appetizer less than $10, most every entree starts at $15. Pizzas start at $16 and quickly climb to $30. A drink, example, iced tea, $3.50, your waitress is busy, never gave you a refill? That was 6 oz of I've tea for $3.50! I visited last week and only wanted a salad. The salad was fine, generally the food is great however, the salad was $16. By contrast, last month my wife and I visited the Pacific Grill in Tacoma for our anniversary, a special treat if you will. My salad and entree there were $16 each and that seemed more appropriate for a higher end restaurant.
The other small gripe is, more often than not, when we order a kids meal it is supposed to come with veggie appetizer and dough for the kids, these two items are forgotten. If we've ordered kids meal to-go, we only get the entree not the bread side, not the veggies, not the drink. It's very poor value if say, you ordered the kids pasta. 4oz of sauce or alfredo on about 8-10oz of noodles for $7 and the need not tend to a table.
The pricing will keep me away, the min dollar per entree coupled with what you get on the plate for your money is just too high for...
Read moreWe usually order to-go from this restaurant, but this time we decided to dine in. While we typically enjoy the food here, this visit was a bit of a letdown. We tried the Powerplay pizza for the first time, and while it wasn’t bad, it’s not something we’d order again—perhaps the sausage wasn’t to our liking.
We also got two orders of the Gourmet Stuffed Mushrooms, which used to be one of our favorites. In the past, we’ve come here specifically for the mushrooms to-go, but this time they weren’t quite the same. One order had a light coating of butter, while the other didn’t seem to have any at all. A big part of what we loved was dipping the bread into the rich garlic butter, but unfortunately, there wasn’t much butter for dipping. Thankfully, they replaced the order that was missing butter. Additionally, I’ve noticed some inconsistency with the bread that comes whey the mushrooms —sometimes it’s flatbread, and other times it’s fluffier garlic bread. We ended up taking the leftovers home and adding more butter to the mushrooms ourselves.
That said, our server, Spencer, was absolutely fantastic—probably one of the best waiters we’ve had in a while. He was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. We'll...
