My friends and I were hungry and had always noticed this bakery, so we decided to check it out. The building looks really nice, and the inside is clean with friendly staff. However, I wasn't overly impressed with the taste of the items I tried. The standout was the opera cake. It was something I had never tried before, but it was delicious and a pleasant surprise. Everyone loved it, making it the highlight of our visit and giving us hope for the rest of the menu. Unfortunately, the chocolate fudge cupcake was a letdown. Neither I nor my friends enjoyed it. The cake had an unusual light pumpkin brown color instead of a rich dark brown, and the frosting wasn't appealing to any of us. Would definitely not recommend We also tried a churro croissant. While I personally didn't like it due to the cream inside, my friends did enjoy it, so this might just be a matter of personal preference. The dark chocolate mousse was good but very rich and dense, typical of chocolate mousse. It didn't blow us away but was an average, decent dessert. I was excited to try the Ferrero Rocher dessert, but it was disappointing. It tasted somewhat artificial, like eating a Ferrero Rocher but with something off. It wasn't anyone's favorite and was just okay. I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the bakery has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, but the quality of the desserts was hit or miss for us.

I stopped by yesterday to try some pastries, after looking through the display cases of which they have quite a variety. I got a Italian Napoleon, a couple of Sfogliatell and a lobster claw. I had the Napoleon which I thought was ok. I tried the Sfogliatell and was not impressed with the filling which really wasn't even there just porous dough. My favorite pastry since I was a kid is pastachote I didn't get one because they were so tiny for the money. The lobster claw was pretty good and was filled with cream. Overall I think everything I looked at was very pricey. I was disappointed to say the least, I am 70 years old and have had a lot to compare with. Other bakeries in the area I think are much better one of them sorry to say is Shop Rite. This is just my opinion and if everyone likes them. Bon appetite. I have a photo so you can see for yourself.

I'm surprised to see that this isn't five stars! I'm so glad this place opened up as I love a great pastry. This is the second time I've been there and both times were phenomenal. Everything was fresh and beyond delicious. I saw a previous review that you can compare it to ShopRite and I am absolutely blown away how you can even compare!? You can tell everything is made with love. When I order I like a little bit of this and a little bit of that and everything I had was not just fresh but mouth watering delicious. Also, on a side note, my daughters and their friends each had the gelato and oh my god... SOOO good and absolutely! Brought me back to my 10 days in Italy. Take the trip! Totally worth it.

Ordered a mini Cheesecake and a 7" Ferrero Rocher Mousse Cake for my mother's birthday. It was almost comical when the delivery driver gave me a small box containing 2 mini-cakes and drove off. Leaving me perplexed in the driveway as to where the large cake I ordered for her birthday was. Now I'm no carpenter or mathematician, but the drop of chocolate mousse cake smaller than my palm in the box did not seem to chock up to the full-sized cake I had seen and ordered.

Upon noticing the error, I immediately found the number of this establishment and called. Number unavailable, I return to google and find the second number listed which finally routes me to the bakery. Immediately a woman puts me on hold, 10 minutes later, time ticking away before the surprise is ruined, and very much feeling like my call was plainly forgotten - I hung up and called again. This time around, they didn't even bother to entertain me with the hope of an answer and relegated me to the voicemail box. Dejected, I simply left a message and decided to go through doordash support instead. About 2 hours later, as of the writing of this review, I have received my refund from doordash but will have to return to the search for a cake for my mother long after the surprise was ruined.

Hopefully, whatever place I find actually gives me the right cake. Or at least picks up the phone haha.

Edit:

Chef Joe reached out to me on behalf of Bruno's. They were very cordial and seemed earnestly apologetic. Despite whats done being done, he attempted to improve the future....

On June 3, 2025 I went to purchase a cake for my Mother's Birthday, got it home she was super excited. Well we placed it into the refrigerator while we attended other birthday celebration throughout the day for my Mother. Well the next day June 4,2025 we let it set too get room tempeture before having some. We finally went to cut it My mother said it was hard even after it was cut she tasted it an sid it was hard. I was very disappointed so I said i will bring it back to the store. I was always taught that when a customer return something to a store the coustomer is always right. Well not in the case of Bruno Bakery I was asked why I was returning it, I gave my reasonI even taken my Mother with me. she explain the reason for the return. Well the lady took the cake to the back claim she tasted it that it was not hard at all a was made with the right ingredients. so basically no matter what our reason was for returning the cake which only one slice missing. I was told I would be given a store CREDIT. Would it really have hurt them to give my back the cash I spent on the cake, then to give me...
