I am from Maharashtra, India and vada pav and misal are one of the popular go to food there. When the flyer was first out for this place, for some reason it got really hyped and people said it's an original vada pav place from one of the cities in Maharashtra etc. which really got me excited. And I thought, ok, I might not need to make vada pav and misal at home anymore to relish it.
So me and my husband placed an online order for some vada pavs and misal pav and headed to this restaurant to pick it up. We parked our car and started following the maps for direction on foot. The map says that we have already reached but cannot see Joshi Vada Pav anywhere. We could see a biryani place around but not this place. After hopelessly wondering for like 15 mins, I called this place to ask where they are exactly located, that's when they say that the biryani place is Joshi Vada Pav. I mean a small notice on the front door of this restaurant would have completely helped us. Finally, we took our food.
Vada pav and misal pav disappointed me real bad. The flavors of both vada and misal were not even close to what they should have been. I have eaten better at some other local restaurants in...

We came on a Friday night, there were only a few tables occupied and the rest were empty. It is right next to cine grand in case you are not able to find it
Jain food Love the fact that they have Jain vada pav, dabeli, sandwich, Frankie and I made them add pani puri as well. We just came from India so I was afraid we may not like it but that was not the case. My wife took the pani puri but the ragada had potatoes mixed in it, so I suggested them to use the Jain banana mixture and add it to my pani puri, they accommodated my request and also the owners themselves tried it to see how it tastes ( I hope they liked it 😉), I am sure they will accommodate the same if you ask them to do this and yes I liked the pani puri with Jain filling because the water tasted very good.
Jain vada pav was good but very light, Jain sandwich was filling and good as well.
Pricing It is a little on the pricier side because the food dishes are light and ambience is okay.
Would have come more frequently if the price was a bit lower, but will definitely swing by...
Read moreWe eat at Joshi vada paav very frequently! We love the food ! Today we had a negative experience with the service. We dined in with our friends who were visiting this place for first time and decided to eat pani puri at the live counter. The person serving pani puri , on asking how many puris in one plate replied - 10 puris. My friend and I decided to share with our husbands. So we ate 5 and then sent our husbands who were sitting at the table to get the remaining 5. That’s when the person serving said … that there only 5 puris in 1 plate. We ended up buying another plate. He shouldn’t have lied to us and his overall behavior was not welcoming. We felt insulted. He was trying to be over-smart. Henceforth we probably...
