Happy Lemon — Restaurant in Fremont

Hands down my favorite spot for milk tea. The first time I went to Happy Lemon, the staff recommended either the black tea or milk tea with salted cheese. They said it was the most popular. Was really skeptical of the salted cheese, but I'll try anything once. I opted for the black tea with salted cheese because I was afraid it would be too sweet and creamy with milk tea. 50% sweet is perfect. This is now my all time favorite drink! Love it! Tip: Drink the salted cheese drinks at a 45 degree angle to allow for you to get both the salted cream cheese and tea at the same time. I have actually tried mixing the cheese with the tea before I drank it (not recommended and maybe even frowned upon), but it's just not the same. My family also love Mango Matcha with mango boba, Mango Yakult Smoothie, Boba Milk Tea with puff cream and crystal boba. The best thing about Happy Lemon is that they are consistent at every store. First time at Happy Lemon. This is located at a busy plaza of Mission Square. Plenty of parking.

We ordered the D11 Okinawa fresh milk with boba and D13 okinawa roasted tea with boba: its an ok but not my favorite, both taste the same in my opinion. Also had the regular waffle which is the best in this place and the calamari but so dry and feel like it needs a sauce.

The place lacks customer service, staff are sitting on the side using laptop or phone and will not see customers that are ready to order. No option for paper receipt, tip is optional but will ask you upon ordering and paying your order. When your order is ready they will announce the name of the order, someone touched my order as we have the same order (no name no order number no receipt). Trash bin next to it is overflowing as well. I hate to give low stars...

This Happy Lemon location has a consistent quality in their Salted cheese. Never had their tapioca boba but I can attest that their drink is superb. When I ordered online on Doordash for pickup, I found it so smart that they separated the salted cheese into a separate container so that the cheese does not melt into the drink before you're there to pick up! That was the surprise for me that makes me think that they deserve a 5 star. I don't think this is a standard for all Happy Lemons so I am glad that management here is forward thinking.
