COCKROACH INFESTED!
WOULD GIVE -3 STARS IF POSSIBLE! Needed a place to stay last min. Checked in about 7:30pm. 8 hours later my boyfriend woke to a baby cockroach on his face. The only available employees (security guard & desk clerk) TOLD HIM HE COULD'VE BROUGHT IT IN WITH HIM. Not only that, they also laughed it off as a "regular occurrence." Only solution offered was to move literally to the very next room over so we left in the middle of the night. We'd already had to kill 1 of those bugs before bed. In the 20 min it took to leave my boyfriend had killed FIVE, yes, 5 of them! They won't refund & corporate can't either since they're "independently owned." They've been ignoring us since our stay a week ago 5/29. Manager is NEVER there or returns call. Finally got some bllsht generic email OFFERING US NOTHING BUT A DISCOUNT ON OUR NEXT STAY AT THAT MOTEL. LIKE HELL AM I GOING BACK THERE EVER! Currently in the process of filing a report with the BBB & health department to investigate.
They had the nerve to suggest we brought 5 baby cockroaches & planted them inside the room. My boyfriend drives a 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T that he keeps PRISTINE. Like we're bringing that in + the employees just shrugged it off saying it happened all the time anyway! Are you kidding me?! Then corporate was no help at all, they tried getting a hold of the manager as much as we did without any success. HOW IS THAT THE RIGHT WAY TO RUN YOUR BUSINESSES? Let them neglect the premises, accuse customers of bringing bugs & not rectify the issue. Corp said they were there to deal with problems... WHAT THE HECK IS NOT BEING REFUNDED & GETTING JERKED AROUND FROM A HALF *SS MANAGER &/OR OWNER FOR AN INFESTED PROPERTY?
It's not like we were staying long, it was just the 1 night. & being that we had to leave in the middle of it, have been given NOTHING BUT GRIEF & INCONVENIENCE, asking for the $104.52 back we spent on those disgusting 8 hours is perfectly sensible to me. We initially even asked for only a partial refund, that's how understanding, accommodating & NICE WE TRIED TO BE. We'll NEVER use any Motel 6 ever again.
UPDATE We were supposed to receive a call by 11am today. Never happened of course. I called at 1:30pm, the manager, L0rilie Lui$ was OF COURSE NOT THERE. I began getting agitated with the female employee but apologized for being short since it wasn't personally her fault. She knew who I was & said the manager would be back in maybe 30 min & call then. While voicing my frustration, she became VERY RUDE which I called her out on. I reiterated again that we're in the process of filing a report with the BBB & health department. She just said "do whatever you want." That's the second time they've said that already! I told her she better start looking for another job because they're going to get shut down soon. Then my boyfriend actually gets a call from the infamous manager herself after 2pm to again offer nothing more than a discounted rate on a future stay because she is not allowed to refund us. She too said to go ahead and report them if it's what we wanted. They obviously don't care about the conditions they offer their PAYING CUSTOMERS! We ARE your job, you work in HOSPITALITY! L0rilie Lui$, $@njib Gh0$e & all the motel employees we've encountered thus far do not belong in this industry if we're such a nuisance to you.
Supervisor L0nd@ at Motel 6 corp gets 5 stars though! Of all the people we've talked to on that end she was the only 1 to guarantee that even though they are an independent franchise there WILL BE REPERCUSSIONS. The motel's being fined for this & there'll be a corporate investigation of them. Not 1 of the other corporate CS reps said anything about the property being held accountable & that's what we want. She was empathetic, nice & the only helpful person throughout this whole ordeal. She suggested we dispute the bank charges but I forgot we paid cash since it was just the 1 night. Not giving up on warning everyone...
Read moreFirstly, the room was modern and I liked the hardwood floor. Now, The staff are highly under trained. Upon checking in, even with a 2 month prior reservation, there was massive confusion between the maid service and what rooms were available for me. They also questioned my rate, stating that I was "under" charged ,even though it was a reserved/confirmed rate. After finally getting a room assigned to me, I went to visit with my son in Sunnyvale. I returned back to the room 4 hours later, where I then found my key didn't work. I went to the front desk where two of the least capable employees (two guys) were apparently assigned to work the night shift. I told them about my key, they looked me up in the system, and told me I had checked out of that room. I told them I JUST checked in 4 hours ago. They checked the computer again, then started playing dumb. One of them, then stepped out from behind the bullet proof glass and told me that room was checked out. I then started to get really aggravated. I told them my stuff was in the room, come see. They then told me that the stuff (my persnal goods) in the room was removed and in the back office. WHAT ?? When is that ever supposed to happen to a paying guest ? I demanded they return my stuff immediately and wanted the Manager contact number. They gave me a business card with Lorilei's info. Then, they tried to check me into a different room on the opposite side of the motel ! I demanded I be assigned the same room, as I had no clue at that point what did and didn't get removed from my original room. They assigned me the same room (#219). I went back up to the room, and after being awake almost 36 hours from my travels, I went to sleep immediately. Then after just falling asleep, one of the two incompetents was pounding on the door repeatedly, yelling "front office" "front office". I told him through the door I was trying to sleep. He kept pounding. When I opened the door the guy told me I hadn't signed for the room. BULL ! I signed for the room that afternoon ! Any other failures by those two was not my concern. This was by far THE WORST experience I have ever witnessed lodging at a major hotel/motel chain and I've traveled all around the world in the Air Force for 20 years. THE WORST. I called Lorilei the next day and all she could do was say she would deal with it and then she commented on how the rate they charged me for my stay "was too low". what?? Terrible...
Read moreThe rooms are small but clean. The staff was professional and friendly though some of the chamber maid staff didn't speak a whole lotta English. But you can communicate successfully with a little bit of universal body language and gestures. The TV only had a few working channels and some of them went black after only a few moments. The rest I think we're blocked unless paid for I guess. Also the HDMI and USB auxilary inputs on the monitor didn't work so we had to be entertained by the group of young people on the other side of the thin wall who were apparently trying to get laid, all night until they were forced to give up there efforts by the rising sun. Acceptable cuz it was the weekend. The wifi was free and easy to access but was week and kept kicking me off. The seven eleven was close but shared the dark and questionable atmoshere. The only things I was really unhappy about was the building next door across the parking lot acted like a sound wall that would amplify the traffic from the nearby freeway. It sounded like there were big rig tractor trailers in the parking lot right outside our room all night long-clearly out of motel 6s control. The mirror on the wall gave us a view from our bed to the few inches of space in the window where the curtains stop and we could see directly outside and Visa versa. And the worst thing about the place was I was approached by two guys who were looking for drugs. Now that sounds bad but I do look the part so that was forgivable, how ever, my forgiveness turned to suspicion when just by chance I noticed the peep hole in my door was stuffed with paper as if to conceal the identity of the first person who knocks on my door. I say the first person because after i would notice the paper from the first visitor obviously I would correct the problem. So I was pretty sure I was gonna be robbed at some point but that point never came. I only mention the incident because I was so sure about the potential crime to be that I told my wife and son about it and went over some emergency situations and "what to do in case of"s. My fears were reinforced by the door jamb which showed evidence of being kicked in and being pried open multiple times. In hindsight this was all from past events and we may have had nothing to worry about. But if you've ever seen the movie "derailed" with Jennifer Aniston, you would be wary of every room from...
