Naga's Kitchen is the new fine dining Indian restaurant in the same location as Madhuram. Nagas Kitchen is doing a job in such a way that it is easier to forget Madhuram.
We have dined at this place and have also ordered takeout. The dine in experience is pleasant. Ambience is improved and now appears more bright.
We ordered Guthi Vankaya and Egg Masala with Roti. Vivek who took the ordered suggested that Guthi Vankaya (Typical whole Brinjal/ Eggplant Curry) goes very well with Rice. So we ordered rice as well. At the outset let me confirm that both curries were superb with Butter Roti , but Guthi Vankaya tasted out of this world with piping hot rice. The egg masala is a very smooth gravy which I am guessing is typical Chettinad style.
Before dining in, we had also ordered takeout for Naga's special Chicken curry and Chicken Chettinad and our son really loved both the dishes.
When we were eating Both the owners Vivek and Purush asked our feedback. The special thing about it was the sincerity with which they asked for opinion. Both wanted to know our/ every customers honest opinion. Both appear to be sincere honest and hardworking entrepreneur's who want this venture to be a great success.
When we informed them we really liked the food, Vivek made an endearing gesture. He offered us Elaneer Payassam a desert made from Tapioca, Coconut Milk, Fresh coconut. The desert was awesome and it reminded me of the Chennai where I had earlier eaten similar type/taste.
Barring the location, the authenticity of taste and flavor that Naga's Kitchen has brought to their dishes is simply outstanding. What I mean- Barring the location - I just thought that I am eating in India, whereas this restaurant is located in Fremont, CA- USA.
If you are also a food connoisseur like me, you will enjoy eating here or ordering a takeout. The prices are standard for this type of cuisine and at times, you will feel that they are charging less .
It is located in a small complex which has less parking spots than the complex deserves. As a result during peak times, you may have to search...
Read moreHonestly, I wasn’t expecting to be this impressed. So many South Indian places around here start strong and then fall into the same traps—too spicy without real flavor, dry meats, bland chutneys, long wait times, hit-or-miss service. But Nagas Kitchen seems to have done their homework and got it right.
Went as a team of 10 ,We ordered a mix of veg and non-veg dishes—Apollo Paneer, Karuveppaku Chicken Fry, Butter Chicken, and Gutti Venkaya Kura—and every single dish was full of flavor and served hot. The chicken was tender (not rubbery or dry like I’ve had elsewhere).
Portion sizes were generous without being over the top, and nothing was drowning in oil—which, if you’ve eaten around the Bay Area, you’ll know is rare.
Service was warm and attentive, but not fake or overly rehearsed. You could tell they were paying attention and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time.
What really stood out:
The Apollo Paneer is probably one of the best I’ve had—crisp outside, soft inside, great seasoning.
Butter Chicken was rich and balanced—not sweet or greasy.
And whoever made the eggplant curry (Gutti Venkaya) deserves a shoutout. So good.
The place just opened, but they’re already avoiding a lot of the mistakes I’ve seen at other restaurants. It feels like they listened to what people usually complain about and built something better from day one.
Fremont needed this. Will...

From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The warm welcome from Mr. Vivek, the manager, set the tone for the entire evening. His hospitality is unmatched, attentive without being intrusive, genuinely passionate about the food, and making sure every guest feels valued. It’s rare to meet someone who elevates the dining experience so effortlessly, but Mr. Vivek does it with grace and charm.
Chef Nagaraj is a true culinary artist. Every dish reflects skill, tradition, and creativity. The Prawn dish was an explosion of flavors ,perfectly cooked, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. The Karivepela Chicken was the star of the evening, tender, fragrant, and beautifully balanced with the bold curry leaf aroma. Each bite felt like comfort food taken to a gourmet level.
And then came the Elaneer Payasam for dessert, a refreshing, silky, coconut-infused masterpiece that rounded off the meal perfectly. Light yet indulgent, it’s the kind of dessert you’ll think about long after the meal is over.
Naga’s Kitchen isn’t just about food. it’s about an experience. With Mr. Vivek’s impeccable service and Chef Nagaraj’s culinary brilliance, this place is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait...
